"Hey Bones, open up!"
Temperance's eyes widened as she heard her partner knocking on her door. Eyes wide, she quickly gathered up her stash, trying to find some place to hide it. She cursed Booth, cursed him for coming over now, just when she had gotten something new to fuel her cravings. This time it had cost her a good amount of cash, and it was making her so angry that she would have to wait to sample it.
And there was no way she would let Booth see it. The trouble that would cause…she held little doubt that it would only serve to make her life a living hell if he caught her with any of her little delights…and most likely she would never be able to safely pick up a new selection ever again.
Booth could never understand the craving she felt. He would not be able to wrap his mind around her expensive habit, to understand why she needed to make these purchases. Her addiction, which had cost her so much money, was the only thing that could take the edge off. There were days, when they were performing cases, that she would begin thinking about a new fix and find her hands shaking, the desire making her weak in the knees.
"Hey Bones!" Booth called out. "I bought Chinese…come on, before it gets cold!"
"In a minute…I…I…need to put my bra on!"
Temperance didn't know why she had said that. It made no sense. But the interruption, along with her fear of being caught, had caused her normally nimble mind to go spastic. She was cramming her precious new goodies under her couch, hoping that Booth would not find them and that they would stay safe. She had no time to return them to their packages, no time to ensure their safety. She couldn't even risk taking them to their proper spot, in the locked dresser she kept near her bed, where her other items were hidden.
Once she was positive no traces remained, Temperance walked over to the door, opening up.
"Oh…hi Booth."
"Why weren't you wearing a bra?" Booth asked.
"Uh…certain tribes in New Guinea…"
"Nevermind, sorry I asked." Booth said, flopping down on the couch, Temperance wincing as he did so. "So, want to watch a movie?"
Temperance sighed, resigned to her fate of not getting her fix till after her partner left.

Hours later, after playing along and pretending to be happy Booth was around, Temperance finally had a chance to sigh with relief. Booth was heading back to his apartment, and her little addiction was safe…for now.
Getting on her hands and knees, Temperance pulled out her stash, smiling as she found them safe. Finally, at long last...she could fullfill her craving...
"Dirge, Ramjet, Thundercrack, Skywarp, Thrust…and who could forget you, Starscream." Temperance said as she pulled out her new Transformer action figures. Going to the dresser, she returned with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. "Now then, where were we?" She asked, lining the toys up. "Ah, yes." She held Starscream up, making jet noises as she flew him at the leader of the Autobots, making jet noises
