Gladlake mental hospital
" How are we doin today little ladeh?" The twig of a nurse said as she entered Livie James' room. The girl had been here for most of her life. Her parents had sent her here because of her constant state. She didn't speak, she didn't interact with others, she paniced whenever she was even outside. Her only mode of communication was drawing. The girl could have worked for any animation company as an illustrator. She could have supported herself on her work. Instead she drew what she saw around herself or what she needed.
Livie didn't respond to Nurse Jenny. She sat on the window ceil with her knees up and supporting her sketchpad. She was using charcoal to draw something. She never let any of the nurses see unless she needed something so jenny didn't try.
Today was a different day than most. Livie actually looked up at Jenny. Jenny could tell right away something was wrong. Livie's eyes weren't right.
Livie let herself down from the floor and stood there, staring at Jenny. Her eyes were dilated. Jenny realized that Livie had lost control of her bladder at that moment.
" Livie baby you okay?" She asked taking a step foreward.
Livie's eyes rolled into the back of her head and she was down. At the moment of hitting the floor her body was jerking into a seizure. Her hands and her toes were tightly clenched and her back arched.
" I need help in here!" Jenny called as she moved the bed out of the way.
House's Office
House sat in his chair reclined with his feet on his desk. He tosses his tennis ball up in the air and caught it in the loop of his cane. " A loony bin huh? Sounds fun. Too bad shes gunna miss fish stick Tuesday and find out that some overpaid under qualified idiot nurse overmedicated her."
" That is possibly true house, except for she is testing high in radiation levels." Cameron said.
House grimaced. " She probably stood to close to the microwave."
" She doesn't even leave her room House. I highly doubt that shes anywhere near a microwave." Cameron was making her signature annoyed face.
" Lets go visit loosy goosy." House said getting up from his chair.
" You are actually meeting a patient?" Foreman said skeptically.
Chase got up, collecting his notes. "Its not everyday house gets to meet a real mental patient. Gives him someone to talk to."
Livie's room
Livie James laid curled up in the fetal position in her bed. Nurse Jenny sat with her. Livie wasn't looking at jenny though. She was staring at the wall ahead of her. Next to her on the bed laid her sketchbook and her pencils.
" So It looks like we came at a bad time?" House said as he limped in. He grabbed a chair and scooted it over to the bed. He sat down in front of Livie and took out it penlight. When he shined it in Livie's eyes she blinked, whimpered, and backed up as far as she could.
House muttered a 'hm' to himself and continued on trying to examine Livie. The girl refused to be touched. " Her reactions are very low…"
" Could be from the sedatives." Cameron said.
" They wouldn't make her act like this." He took the girl's sketchbook and started to flip through it. His arrogant face faded into a more serious look the more he flipped through the pages. He ignored Livie's attempts to try and retrieve her book.
" Dr. House would you mind giving Livie back her book before she freaks again?" Jenny spoke up from her chair.
House didn't answer her. He flipped through a few more pages. He finaly stopped and looked up at her.
" What, what is it?" She said concerned.
House slowly flipped the book around and held it up. " Somehow I don't think this is a normal decoration at the hospital."
The picture depicted was very realistic. A pigeon lay dead outside of a window. It was rotting and maggot covered. The tongue, and the feet were discolored.
