Hear Them Sing

A small poem thing for the Ood. Because they are such a beautiful idea. They deserve it.

I shut my eyes and raise my hands to the heavens.

And in my head, I hear them sing.

When I breathe

I breathe in their air.

When I'm lonely, I reach out

And their comfort finds me.

And in my head, I hear them sing.

When I cry out loud,

They are always there to soothe me.

When I shiver and shake

Their breath takes the chill.

I shut my eyes and raise my hands to the heavens.

And in my head, I hear them sing.

When you glare at me, I pity you

Because you can't hear them.

When you hurt me, I plead

That you may hear their song.

I shut my eyes and raise my hands to the heavens.

And in my head, I hear them sing.

But when I'm happy

I can always feel them laugh with me.

And when I walk in the dark I can see

Because I know they walk with me.

I shut my eyes and raise my hands to the heavens.

And somewhere deep inside me, I know that I sing too.
