Chapter One: Labor and Newborn
Doctor's POV
River, Rory, Amy and I were put in the yard of the Pond household. Amy was five months pregnant with a completely human child. My lovely wife River was nearly nine months pregnant with our daughter that we were planning to name her Sophie Amelia Pond.
My friendship with Rory sort of was at a rocky place when he found out that I married his daughter in an alternative reality, abandoned her for two years to keep her and her parents safe and two months after Christmas had gotten her pregnant. I was terrified that he would come after me with his sword.
I noticed that River was clutching my right hand like it was a stress ball and it had happenend repeatedly for about five months now. She also started taking deep breaths. I wasn't the only one so did Rory and Amy.
"River are you going into labor?" Rory asked his nurse mode kicking in with his dad mode.
"I believe so Dad. Sweetie I think we should all go back into the TARDIS."
I gave Rory my sonic screwdriver so he could setup the delivery center in the TARDIS. Amy and I helped River out of her seat and get into the TARDIS.
"Sweetie, you better not faint on me or I will get my gun and destroy all of your hats." River told to me and narrowed her eyes at me.
I believed her because the one thing that I knew was constant about my wife was that she had a habit of destroying hats that I was fond of. The fez didn't really get a chance to live.
"I promise that I will not faint."
She rolled her eyes. We got into the delivery center and I helped her into her hospital gown. Rory setup everything for the contractions and whenever the delivery is.
10 Hours Later
I was sitting by River in our bed as she held Sophie.
"Hello Princess, I'm your Daddy and that beautiful woman holding you is your Mummy."
I smiled as I looked into River's eyes as happy tears glistened in her eyes.
"I love you so much, Sweetie. And you Sophie Amelia Pond." River told the both of us with so much love.
"You did such a great job, love. She's perfect…absolutely perfect." I kissed her lips in a passionate kiss.
Sophie babbled trying to get our attention. I laughed as I heard her thoughts about River and I.
"What is it love?" River asked.
"She thinks your a great mum already and she thinks I'm a fantastic daddy." River's eyes watered and kissed Sophie's forehead.
River handed me Sophie and I gladly took her.
"Sophie you will always be safe because I'm known as the Doctor but you just call me Daddy and your mummy is a superhero and very good with a gun. Your nan and grand dad are very skillful with a sword so you will be always safe. Don't you worry." I looked at Sophie's angel like face and looked into her eyes as she opened them for the first time. Her eyes were the same shade as this version of myself…green and she had some of River's curls on the top of her head.
