The hot sun were a warmth to Dianna Agron's exposed skin. She loved the heat of it, even if it would burn her skin for that matter.
She was on a rock climbing trip with her one year trusted boyfriend, Avery Salling, as their one year anniversary. They seem to have fun with all the jokes and the things they were talking about.
An hour seemed to past too quickly.
"Hey, be careful, okay? Just hold on to me if you feel like something bad is going to happen," Avery warned Dianna as he clutched on the rope, looking down on her.
He was swaying left to right and all about. Dianna wasn't full on sure if he actually knew how to rock climb, and by the looks of it, she seemed to want to go further.
"It's okay, I got it." She yelled, tilting her head upwards and pushing her helmet up to see clearly of her view to the top. "But thanks." She added.
Dianna felt like she had her rope slightly to break by the minute. Watching Avery struggling and climbing to the top by his heavy weight, she was worried that her safety wasn't as fair as Avery's. She wouldn't have to accuse Avery for not checking the gears quite carefully and if he cared for her—which he did—he would've been able to have time to check them all.
"Race ya' to the top!" Avery exclaimed at excitement, chuckling and going fast. Well, sort of.
"Hey, wait up! Stop!" Dianna cried, looking up quick and didn't want to be left behind. "Avery!"
Avery didn't seem to hear. He loved Dianna, but he was in the mood for a challenge right now. There were at a high point of the mountain and Dianna was afraid of sky-high heights. There was a limit for her, and it seemed to reach now. She tried to catch up while she gripped on the rocks.
"Avery! My rope!" She yelped. She looked at the rope where the point of it was going to break and finally separate, leaving her to fall down and see the horrible sight. Only imagining herself was too dreadful.
She remembered herself on her rock climbing training a few years ago, and she remembered when Avery invited her to rock climb with him outside the country since he found out she knew how.
She looked up once again and found Avery checking up on her.
"Dianna! You okay, babe?" Avery yelled, just at the right tone and volume for Dianna to hear. He tries to slide back down, with the contrast on his face Dianna can see with her worried expression on her face.
Looking down, she could see the high view of the trees, and the tiny rocks falling underneath her shoes. She looked at her hands, which wore black gloves—Only to find out, she got her fingers stuck between the tiny space between the gigantic rocks which were a part of the mountain.
She forced her arm to be pulled for her fingers to set free. She pulled harder, and finally the glove stayed in the same place and her fingers were free, but she was left hanging freely, and . . . safe, to her, when she checked the rope's foundation in the middle were the same as she last did.
Snap.
"Dianna!" Avery screamed.
