Ferris WheelWhen I took Ritsuka to his bedroom he was smiling. He sat on his bed and gave a thoughtful look at me.
"Oi, Soubi. What was up with that whole Ferris wheel thing? You just came out of nowhere and took me on it again."
"Oh, that was nothing. I just wanted to ride with you, Ritsuka."
I saw his uncertain face and I gave him a little smile. His face started to get a tint of pink.
"I'm glad you came Soubi…I-I had a lot of fun with you," Ritsuka meekly said. I grinned at him.
"Really? You had fun with me? It liked like you had fun with Yuiko-Chan most of all," I remarked at him. He had a confused face that made him look so cute.
You're really weird Soubi. How did you come up with that?"
"I saw what happened on the Ferris wheel." I was teasing him but I'm sure he saw the hurt look in my eyes. At least that's what I hope.
"…What are you talking about?"
"I saw her kissing you…" My voice was sad and I immediately changed that and hoped he didn't realize just how much he was hurting me.
"What? Uh, Soubi-"
"No, no, no. Its perfectly normal for a twelve year old boy to kiss a girl," I started off saying to him.
"Soubi wha-" Ritsuka tried to say again but I jumped right in.
"I understand complet-"
"SOUBI!" he shouted at me. I loved it when he said my name; weather he whispered it or screamed it. I loved the sound of it from his lips. I was quiet hoping that he would say my name again.
"What are you talking about? I never kissed Yuiko! The cart tipped and she fell on me. Do I look like the type to kiss other when I love someone else?" his face went back to that light pink flush.
"Who do you love, Ritsuka?"
"I…I-I love you, Soubi…" he slowly said every beautiful word to me and I was happier than ever.
I wrapped one hand around his back while I leaned down to kiss his cheek. His face was a bright pink and turned to a light red when he gently pressed his shaking lips on my steady ones.
I tilted his head to deepen the kiss and when I drew away his body was quivering. I thought that he has had enough so I gave him one last kiss on the forehead before saying those words I did not want to say.
"Good night, Ritsuka. Have sweet dreams." I got up and turned to walk away when I felt a hand grab my sleeve. I looked to see Ritsuka's redder face.
"…Soubi…I want, I want you to stay with me…" he quietly said.
I stood there shocked at how adorable he looked. I smiled at him and I grabbed his little hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
"Of course." I lied down next to him with my arms around his tiny shoulders and I kissed his forehead once more before he fell asleep.
Nobody lost their ears that night…
