Clarke knew what she would have to tell him. That didn't mean she wanted to do it. She knew that he would insist on going, and that she would insist he stay.

"There has to be another way?"

She just continued to repeat to herself, thinking that the more she said it, the more likely she would be to think of a solution. As the grounders escorted her back to Camp Jaha, she racked her brain for anything else they could offer the grounders. Anything but Finn.

Before she knew it Clarke found herself standing in the council room. Her mother stood staring at her from across the table.

"They agreed to the alliance, as long as we.." She spoke confidently, hoping that it would be easier to say. It wasn't.

"As long as what Clarke? What else do they want?" Abby probed.

"Lexa, the commander, wants," Clarke cleared her throat, glancing over to Bellamy, to avoid looking at Finn, "justice, for the uh.." She paused.

"We don't have all day Clarke." Raven stepped out next to Finn, causing Clarke to accidentally look into his eyes. He knew, he had to. The way his eyes spelled out sorrow and shame. She pulled her eyes back to her mother.

"They want Finn." Her voice cracked as she said his name. "They want us to surrender him, and then we can have our alliance." Silence filled the room, no one spoke. Raven looked from Finn to Abby, her head shaking slightly.

Finn stepped up, "Done."

"No Finn" Raven stepped up placing her hand on his chest to stop him.

"We'll find another way." Abby concluded.

"This is my mess, let me clean it up." Finn looked passed Raven to Clarke.

She looked him straight in the eyes, "They kill you. I won't let that happen." She looked back to Abby, "But we need to make a plan, now. The most important thing right now is rescuing the rest of our people."

"We had a plan, the grounders know the tunnels." Bellamy spoke up. "I say if spacewalker wants to do this, let him, it will save our people. He'll die a hero."

"Bellamy, no." Clarke started.

Abby's fists hit the table hard to gain everyone's attention, "No one else is sacrificing themselves if I have anything to say about it."

"We will figure something else out." Clarke added.

"What do you purpose then Princess? Every day we wait to rescue them, the more chance that there won't be anyone to rescue when we get there. If we're going to defeat Mount Weather we need the grounders." Bellamy challenged.

Bellamy took a step towards Clarke, his face read that he wasn't backing down easily. "You know I'm right."

"What I know, is that there is no way I'm letting Finn die. He shouldn't have to. That's not who we are. That's who they are." She pointed out.

Bellamy gritted his teeth and began to argue but was cut off, as Finn spoke desperately, "It's my decision and I'm going. If they kill me, so be it, we all know I'd deserve it." Then he rushed out of the door. Raven limped quickly behind him.

"Finn wait," She stopped in front of Bellamy, "You're disgusting." Then she left the room.

Abby's guards started to go after them, but she stopped them, "Let him be, but make sure he doesn't leave camp. At least until we've figured this out."

The guards nodded turning and leaving the room.

Clarke glanced between her mother and Bellamy as she said, "They want an answer by tomorrow."
