I don't own Inuyasha!

Bankotsu x Kagome.

She was there again. He had been watching the shard hunters for weeks now, his brothers said he didn't have to do such boring work. He wanted to do it; it gave him something to do. Besides this girl was and enigma, during the day she was bright and happy, like nothing could bring her down. Then the night would fall, she seemed more solemn, lonely.

Every night he had watched them when the sun would set, and the other's fell asleep she would walk a few feet from the camp and just stand there, watching the sky. Somehow, she knew he was there when the others didn't, thanks to a handy little spell. Not one did she look like she was going to tell her group about him.

So he when she walked off on her own he would join her, they would watch the moon, she would watch the moon, he would watch her. When they were at the village her group would stay at a small village, she would walk to a well and stair at it.

Latter when she was more conferrable with him she would sit with her back to the well, he would sit on the opposite side. As more time passes, they would sit next to each other on the lip of the well. It was then she started to talk, she wasn't really talking to anyone; let alone him, she was just speaking her thoughts to the wind.

She spoke about the time she was from, about her family there, about how her soul was split to allow Kikyo to live sustaining herself with the souls of dead girls. How she was in love with Inuyasha, but he only saw her as a shard dictator and a temporary replacement for Kikyo. About how much that hurt a first, but soon she was numb, she cared for everyone in her group, but she knew they all had to go on their separate ways in was inevitable.

Inuyasha was going to bring Kikyo into the group, she knew Sango and Miroku could stand her, but they were likely to leave with Kirara. She would take Shippo with her, but she would have no place to go. She knew she would see this quest to the end, but the well was sealed. She could never go home. Ever, never ever again.

A week latter she told him she have a favour from someone in a high position. Sesshomaru himself. She saved Rin, and gave him back his arm, she told him she would ask him to bring back what was left of the Band back from the undead.

Bankotsu looked the girl in her deep blue eyes; eyes the same shade as his own and started talking about his own life, from his childhood to his first death.

It happened just as Kagome said it would. One month after Inuyasha brought Kikyo into the group The Demon Exterminator and the Monk left with the tow-tailed cat demon. After that, it was easy for Kagome to take her kit with her and leave, go to a meeting point Bankotsu told her about when Sesshomaru brought back the remaining five of the original seven from his band. Kyokotsu and Mukotsu were twice dead and they couldn't be saved.

The Band welcomed it's two knew members with open arms, they now had a Sister and a Little Brother. It wasn't the same, but there were seven. The Band quickly got used to Kagome's and Bankotsu's behaviour when the sunset and the moon rose.

They stopped talking, they didn't speak their thoughts allowed anymore, yet they seemed to now what the other was thinking. It was her eighteenth birthday when they were sitting by a lake; Kagome called his name, and looked into a pair of matching blue eyes. And he knew what she wanted, what she needed.

Slowly they reached and removed each other's armour, their kimono (1) and gave into every unspoken word.

I hope you liked this one.

(1) This is just to generalize the clothes they had under their armour, I didn't want to go into any real detail here.

Leave me a review if you have time.
