The first thing I heard, after being pulled from the black abyss that is death, was an annoying robotic voice. The smell of rusted metal and burning rock startled me awake, along with a tingling sensation under my skin.

"Wakey, wakey, eggs and bakeeee-y!" The annoying voice said.

I looked around to see where the screeching noise was coming from, only to see a Ghost floating in front of my face. It's gold and orange shell gave it a distinct look compared to others of its kind. The blue eye in the middle blinked as the body shifted and clicked.

"It's a new day, Guardian! Time to rise and shine." The Ghost said with a bubbly tone.

"Wh-where am I? Who am I?" I asked.

"This...is what used to be known as the United Kingdom, or more specifically London." The Ghost said. "You, are an Awoken. But your name is a mystery to me as well."

I let out a sigh of indifference. I didn't really care about trivial things like a name, I just wanted to find some nice clothes. Tattered robes and soaked boots wasn't the best of style choices. I looked around for anything that could give me a bit of an upgrade. No luck.

"Clothing. I need clothing." I said to the Ghost.

"On it." It replied.

It zoomed around the rubble, searching for the clothing. I glanced at my skin, watching it pulse with a weird energy. It was a faint shade of blue, a color that's always felt familiar to me. I rubbed my face, feeling a scar run down my right cheek. I couldn't remember where that scar came from, but it was as familiar as ever.

"Foouuuuuund it!" The Ghost happily exclaimed.

A gray vest with matching pants and boots were the best thing the annoying bot could find. A tattered beige hooded cape completed the look. A pile of bones sat near the gaping hole in the wall, with an assault rifle next to it. I picked it up, checking the ammo count; fifteen bullets.

"Ghost, can you guide me out of here?" I asked.

"Yes, Guardian. I'll bring you somewhere safer than here."

Just as it said that, a battle cry was belted from close by. It sounded like primal, animalistic, like an uncaged beast. It was a Fallen Captain, and it was ready to hunt.

"I need a ship." I said to the Ghost.

"There's one nearby, but getting to it might be a problem." The Ghost replied.

From behind us, I heard a robotic groaning sound. The sound came from a spherical being, one with a huge purple eye.

"That's...a Servitor, and also said problem…"
