So, had this idea in mind for quite some time. I'll post it for now but it's prone to change. It's a fanfiction made with Worm CYOA v5 update gimel. Played in the Golden Age scenario which if any of you don't know, startsat 1982. Approximately 29 years before Gestation which is the start of Worm. This, in turn changes a lot. Cannon will get de-railed depending on the waves my OC makes, and BECAUSE this is before cannon there will be a lot of OCs. A lot. Though some older characters may be there, example being Fortuna/ Contessa, Doctor Mother, Scion (duh) and more. The golden age scenario still means that Eden is dead (thank god) and Cauldron is formed. English isn't my first language.

Fun fact: Hero dies at September 17th 2000. That's also where the Golden Age ends.

『 Prologue 1-1 』

Electronic light shone from the lamp that is sitting on the desk of a 14 year old teenager named Geon. A beanstalk in body. Black hair as dark as the night and brown eyes the color of arcadia wood. An unhealthy color of olive that is his skin hiding beneath a simple wardrobe of someone with no fashion sense. The only source of light was that of the lamp and his open monitor that the boys eye was staring into.

And if there is any word that can describe the feeling that overwhelms Geon at the moment it is boredom. He sat on his cheap yet comfy chair in front on his monitor, the electronic screen showing a Spacebattles page that held all current Worm CYOA's that men can find there. Straightening himself Geon grabbed his mouse and moved his cursor, clicking on each spoiler that hid a CYOA beneath. Nearly lifeless eyes tracing every single one of them and reading information they hold.

"Let's see, overpowered, strong, boring, boring.. plausible?" CYOA 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The fifth was as said pausible in Geon's opinion, though none still piqued his interest enough to make him want to create a character. That changed in an instant when he read through [CYOA 5 updated]. Character Points and Shard Points? Interesting. He read through the content of it's 6 pages. Ideas popped into his head like no tommorow, breeding and creating even more. He has always been fond of physical fighters and weapon users, this grants the perfect opportunity to create one. Rocky and Regeneration are in his opinion the best synergy there.

Letting his fingers taste his desk until it found it's way to his pen and swallowing it in his grasp. Geon twirled the pen around and begun writing down on a pastel white sheet of paper. Scenario, Golden Age. More shard points equals more powers and more powers means a safer OC. He looked at the Paths section and immediately picked Vigilante. No way in hell is he going to pay for more power slots. Looking at Path Specific he has to make a choice between Anti-Hero, Ambivalent and Anti-Villain. The choice was easy to make, Ambivalent. The government will be corrupt is already corrupt, some villains are total dicks. *Cough* Kaiser *Cough*. And it suits his loner personality. Not to mention it grants 4 character and 4 shard points. The items he can buy that reside beneath will be for last.

That is 14 character points and 24 shard points at the moment, not enough Geon thought. Scrolling up to Flaws he thought, 'fuck it', and picked 3x Worst Day Ever and 3x Rough Start granting him an additional of 12 character and 3 shard points bringing him up to 26 character and 27 shard points. How to get even more points? Geon first scrolled up to see the Origin page and picked Drop in, that of which will quite literally drop his OC into Earth Bet. Granting an additional 3 character and shard points. Geon scrolled down and wrote down Humble Beginnings as well due to it's compatibility with the chosen Origin and the sextuple deluxe bad start. Picking Foreign Element too because being powerful from the get-go and keeping the ability to improve is too good to pass up.

Scrolling down to the powers section, Geon calculated how much 3 second triggers perks cost and how much it costs to have Rocky, Regeneration and Peak Condition. Permanent boosts in strength whenever hurt, regeneration powerful enough to completely halt aging and infinite stamina alongside full control over his motor functions. This alongside perfect memory from the Noctis Cape perk, the flaws of Numbed Emotions that will allow him to continiously train and the side effects of his powers. Stopping his need to eat, breathe or sleep. Buying Negentropy without a second thought because why not? It'll be great if Geon becomes the closest thing to immortal in this world. Still having one shard point left, he invested it in Cosmetic Shapeshift for the fact that his appearance will greatly change and with Peak Condition and Regeneration, he wont show any signs of disease and more. After using his shard points Geon took notice that he still has quite the quantity of character points left and invested it in the skills Martial Arts, Tactics, Parkour and Marksmanship. He then split the last of his Character Points into his Path Specific section which he bought Blade and Tinkertech and Perks that with 2 left he bought Secret Liar. Geon skipped Costume and Civillian Identity because he picked Budget for Costume and Tinkertech will count as a costume by itself. And because of his Origin as Drop In he can't do Civillian Identity.

As for his final choice in making his CYOA, Geon picked the gift Interludes to make sure the OC has knowledge of the ripples he is creating. This OC will be masochistic of course, it's whole powerset is made for masochists. Geon chuckled at that fact and yawned loudly, it was 2 AM and dark outside. Casually getting off his comfy chair, the gamer shuts off his monitor and makes his way to his bed. Dropping onto it and covering himself with a white blanket, his head resting on his comfortable pillow. "I wish there was something interesting happened..." His eyes no longing holding the energy to stay open. Closing and acting as a key to a new realm of possibility. Before he went to sleep a small, soft voice was heard "Be careful what you wish for"

【Greetings young mortal】

Huh? Where am I? The thoughts of Geon were evident on his face as he floats around in a space full of red. No matter where he turns, Geon only sees red. Fortunately his body and clothes were still visible and NOT red.. "Where am I?" having nothing else to do he questioned the strange voice that he heard in his mind. Wanting to know if the strange voice can hear him at all.

【You are in the realm you humans call The Abyss】

That bit the cake "I have a strange feeling that I should have never laughed at the misery of self-inserts." Geon murmered, feeling like a dick as he believed that this was true unless he wakes up without anything being changed. Was this what the strange voice mentioned before he fell asleep? He sighed "Alright, please continue. Why am I here? And why is the Abyss SO FUCKING RED!"

【You have piqued the curiosity of a powerful entity whom is watching you.

"Well if that isn't creepy what is. And for the second, HOW, did I piqued that persons curiosity? Like seriously, I'm a plain old nerd. Don't you DARE tell me I have something special around me. Please tell me they didn't watch me because I did THAT." Words flung out of the shivering Geon's mouth, as he hugged himself close and frantically looking around for the reader. He ignored the spike of annoyance to his latter question being ignored.

【Mortal human, it has been decided that you shall change things for the better in the world of Earth Bet.】

"Wait a minute what do you mean Earth Bet?!" Realization spiked and Geon's eyes widened. He regretted saying those words before he fell asleep right the instant. As if the voice answered with an action, a radiant white light broke through the layers of red that is the Abyss and pushed right towards his direction. "And what the hell is THAA-"

Anyways, I couldn't resist doing a CYOA of Worm because it's just that great of a story. And yes, Geon will get dropped into the year of 1982 so you can call him a time traveller. He'll get dropped before the Golden Age starts, the same time Eden crashes into Earth Bet. Also here is my CYOA, the set up is different than many's.
