- A Kiss on the Forehead is the Best Medicine -
With a trembled hand and red face, young Lelouch took his chess board and walk across the corridor. He's looking for his big brother Schneizel el Brittania. Well, Lelouch didn't have any particular reason to see his brother but, he missed Schneizel after he can't see him for a month.
Not for so long, Lelouch found his brother. That time, Schneizel was talking with his another brother, Clovis. Lelouch ran towards him and hugged him.
"Schneizel nii-san!" Lelouch smiled happily and called his gentle big brother. Schneizel smiled at Lelouch and patted Lelouch's head.
"What happened, Lelouch?" asked Schneizel kindly.
"Let's play chess!" Lelouch shouted. Schneizel smiled while staring at his happy younger brother.
"Okay. I'll play with you," he replied.
"Really??" asked Lelouch while smiling like a kindergarten kids do.
"Of course. But..."
"You must rest first," Schneizel continued.
"Why?" asked Lelouch sadly with his teary eyes.
"Because you had a fever," answered Schneizel while stroking Lelouch's hair gently.
"I can't believe it! You had a fever?! Why didn't you sleep and regain your health?!" asked the panicked Clovis.
"You can play with Schneizel nii-san in the next opportunity, am I right, Nii-san?" asked Clovis while staring at his older brother.
"Yes. You must rest and take your medicine, Lelouch..." said Schneizel with his worried smile.
"Sorry. But, I just want to see Schneizel nii-san. I—" Lelouch cannot continue his words. Schneizel realized something and smiled with his genuine smile.
"It's okay Lelouch. How about I accompany you to your room?" asked Schneizel. A bit of happiness feeling bloomed in Lelouch's heart.
Then, Schneizel took Lelouch to Lelouch's room and leave Clovis. After Schneizel help Lelouch changed into his pajama, Lelouch stared at Schneizel with a sad expression. Schneizel realized it and asked...
"What's the matter, Lelouch?"
"It's nothing. Um... I just..."
"Do you want me to stay beside you until you fall asleep?" asked Schneizel while smiling at Lelouch.
"... Will you?" with a fear towards a 'no', Lelouch asked.
"I will. I'll stay with you until you wake up and make sure you're taking your medicine," answered Schneizel while patting Lelouch's head. Lelouch blushed and hide under his blanket hastily. Schneizel can't help but giggling at his cute little brother.
Lelouch looked at his big brother shyly. Schneizel smiled and stroked the younger boy's hair.
"Good night, Lelouch," he whispered softly.
He'll stay beside Lelouch until he open his eyes and smile for him as he always does. Because, Schneizel, himself knows that it's the best medicine for his younger brother.
But for Lelouch, a kiss on the forehead is the best medicine that he ever had...
