Warnings: Slight yaoi.
Author's Notes: I wrote this in the middle of my exams even though I was being timed -facepalm-. Well, my favorite het and yaoi couple together can't be that bad, right? =_=
Disclaimer: I do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
He didn't know he had it in him to fall in love so deeply.
The baseball-lover had no idea when his heart started beating faster and his head would go lighter at the mere sight of the lone female Vongola Guardian. Maybe it was when he first saw her; after all, she was the first and only girl he had seen fight so fervently, determination burning in her eye and elegance dripping with every move she made. She was different from all those other teenage girls he has met; she was shy but blunt, silent but strong, miserable but happy.
He simply adores the way her single eye (round, big and oh so pretty) sparkled with different emotions, the way she would press Mukuro's trident closer to her chest when she felt nervous or scared, how her pale cheeks would resemble a lovely red rose's color in embarrassment and how the corners of her pale cherry lips would curve up in a small but full of emotions smile.
There is not a single thing he doesn't love about her.
Her perseverance had only increased those feelings. He remembers it had taken him years to get her completely to warm up and convince her to go out with him. Needless to say, it had been an exhausting process to go through, but its conclusion was worth all of those awkward silences and wary glances.
Then there's the Could Guardian.
Ruthless, violent and merciless were the words that the Rain Attribute-user thought the prefect to be like. With a good reason too, of course. He's known him since elementary school, and throughout all those years he's had a very frightening reputation, though he himself hadn't been able to feel part of his strength until middle school, right after he befriended Tsuna. As time went on, they became close – or as close as the prefect would allow him to, that is. Whenever the older male felt like fighting, he was there; they would spar with each other because they were both the same. Vongola the Tenth and the others may be carnivores now too, but they were herbivores from birth who were forced to become stronger due to the circumstances in their lives; they were different from them and the skylark knew it.
Soon, the natural born hitman started noticing the tint of blue in those cold gray eyes and began to recognize the amusement from the scowls, the jokes from the threats, the smiles from the smirks, and, eventually, the tonfas and the swords were forgotten in the back of the room. Somehow, they found themselves in the strongest guardian's private quarters instead of the Vongola's training room for one night that was followed by many uncountable others; too much to keep track of. The hits, the blows and the cuts were suddenly replaced by biting, touching and kissing. In some sort of way he could simply not comprehend, their daily training transformed into nightly sex.
He loves his wife, he really does, and he would give up anything to be with her forever. Anything except for him. He does not love him, not like he loves her anyway, but he is able to make him feel things that she can't; it's impossible for him to escape from that passion, and he isn't really sure he wants to.
She was his medicine and he was his incurable disease.
Dokuro Chrome may be the queen of Yamamoto Takeshi's affections, but Hibari Kyouya was the king of his addictions.
