John Watson was sick of Sherlock's laziness. This morning alone he had gotten Sherlock his phone that was in his robe pocket, his laptop that was on the table beside him, and his skull that remained on the couch from last night. Now as John sipped his tea quietly he had the predisposition to ignore Sherlock for the rest of the day. A feat that was easier said than done. For just three seconds later Sherlock was calling his name.
"John." Sherlock bellowed to his flat mate. John glanced his way but did not acknowledge him more than that.
"John." Sherlock tried again, attempting to make his voice sound needy. Still John sat in his chair, sipping his tea. Sherlock was confused, usually when he needed something John would respond immediately.
"JOHN!" he shouted this time. John flinched a bit, but otherwise he remained unmoved. This was infuriating Sherlock to no end, and he felt he only knew one way to get a response. He stood up and faced John.
"Jawn," he spoke softly while taking a step closer to his flat mate. "If I have done something to upset you," he continued now merely a step away, "I want you to know that, that was not my intention." John let out a sigh, and placed his cup on the table nearby.
"Let me make amends." Sherlock offered, reaching out and pushing John back into his chair. Still John remained quiet, now for the purpose of seeing how far this would go. Sherlock took his silence as affirmation and moved closer still, till he had on leg firmly positioned on the sides of John's lap. His hand brushed against John's cheek as he threaded his fingers through John's hair. Sherlock tilted John's head up to meet his own, their lips meeting for the briefest of moments. John's pulse raced underneath Sherlock's thumb.
"Sherlock?" John finally broke and let out his name in a gasp. Sherlock smirked and leaned closer, his mouth beside the army doctor's ear.
"John," he breathed, waiting a heartbeat before continuing, "I don't like being ignored John." John swallowed audibly. "Now, be a dear and hand me my phone."
Please tell me what you think!
