It's Valentines Day

"I brought the basket." Yolei announced, holding up a basket.
"I got a cloth, but sorry it's not checkered." Davis said, holding up a blue-with-white-clouds tablecloth.
Davis and Yolei set up their picnic under a maple tree. Of course, since it was the Digital World the tree's leaves were shades of gold and pink, even though it was summer. They spread out the food Yolai had brought. Their Digimon had been left with Cody and Ken so that they could spend the day with each other.
"You know it's Valentines Day. Get me anything?" Yolei asked.
"Come here and I'll give it to you." Davis replied.
Yolei giggled, knowing what was coming next. She was right, as Davis planted a kiss on her cheek.
"I got you the same thing Davis." Yolei said, kissing him back.
"O.K. let's eat now." Davis suggested.
After they'd finished, they leaned back against the tree. Davis set his hand on Yolei's. Yolei smilled.
"Hey Davis," She said quietly.
"Yeah?"
"I really love being with you."
"I love being with me too."
Yolei smacked Davis on the head. "You dolt."
Davis grinned. "I love being with you nearly as much as I love being with me."
Yolei rolled her eyes.
"It is close."
Yolei leaned over and kissed him.
"Changed my mind. I love you more than I love me."
"Good."
They leaned their heads against each other's and fell asleep, the leaves casting heart-shaped shadows on their faces.
The last thing Davis thought before falling asleep was, "Valentines Day isn't a stupid holiday anymore. With Yolei it's the best ever."
