It was the beginning of the summer. Two days after the train ride home from Hogwarts. And Hermione was sitting at her desk in her bedroom doing summer homework. An essay for Professor McGonagall, her last essay she had to do. By doing her homework at the beginning of the summer vacation. She had time to read, she got four new books on there last trip to Hogsmeade. Scribbling down all the thing she knew about vanishing mammals. When her mum knock on her door,
"Come in." muttered Hermione, the door open and her mum came in.
"Hermione dear its time for dinner and your father and I have a surprise for you." Her mother stated and walked out the open door closing it on the way.
Hermione was thinking what it could be,
'It might be a book or a umm…book. What could it be I really don't like that much stuff. Oh well. I'm really hungry so I'm going down for dinner.'
Hermione ran down the stairs jumping over the last three steps and walking to the kitchen. Hermione sat down in the chair across her mum. Looking down at her plate she thought 'Hamburgers and french fries my favorite. This surprise must be good.'
Then started to eat her french fries. After dinner her mother cleaned the dishes and asks Hermione to sit in the living room and wait. She walked out of the kitchen smiling.
"Hermione." she said calmly
"Yes mum." Hermione said
"Your cousin Hannah call two days ago and ask if you wanted to came and see her this summer, you where asleep when she called so I told her to call back the next day so she did and she's on the phone right now." Holding out the phone to Hermione. She took it,
"Hello." Hermione said
"Hey what's up?"
"Not a thing.
"So, do you want to come see me?"
"Yes!"
They talk for about 20 minutes when Hannah had to go.
Hannah lived in Wichita, Kansas. She just turned thirteen and was the only other witch in Hermione's family. That one of the reasons Hermione got along with her so well.
Hermione looked up at her mum and said Hannah wanted to know if she could be there this weekend.
"I don't see why not you two get along so well and you two have not seen each other in two years. When she came all this way for her Christmas break" She stated.
We will talk about this more tomorrow it's almost eleven." Hermione's dad yawned
"Ok Night" she said lazily walking up to her room. Once there she fell one her queen sized bed and fell asleep.
