Hey guys! So, in Literature class we were assigned to write a poem in the form of an apostraphe. For those of you who are like me and are going, how they hell do you write ', I'll inform you right now that apparently an apostraphe is when you talk to an inanimate object. And so being the brilliant genius that I am, I though, in more or less condensed term - ERMAHGOSHJARVISCANTECHNICALLYBECONSIDEREDINANIMATESINCEHEISAROBOTDSPITEHOWHUMANWEREALLYKNOWHIMTOBE. And so, this ended up being my, 'apostraphe'. A tribute by Tony to JARVIS. Hope you enjoy :-)
You picked me up, and held me close
Put band aids on scraped knees
And in all truth, you were my dad
Since unlike him, you cared for me.
The day I heard, the horrid news
About the accident, which changed my life
I only mourned for the one unnamed,
Not Howard Stark and his wife
Without you here, I became a mess
The pressed learned of my drinking fun
They though it was due to my parents death,
Not realizing you were the one.
The one I miss with utmost fury,
The one they all forgot
The one who always wiped my tears,
Who believed in me, when others did not
And that is why, I went for days
Fueled by coffee, without sleep
For I needed something tangible,
A part of you that I could keep
People think that Iron Man
Is my greatest invention
They don't understand that the suit is a tool,
And that you are my greatest creation
Despite these years, my ups and downs
You're once again here, with me
Only it's never what we had,
Things are different, unfortunately.
For your touch is gone, your laughter too
And you cannot truly hold
For in the end, despite my brains
Jarvis is gone, and your just code.
