Sam lately had been caught up with all the time he had been secretly been spending time with Gabriel. No one else knew he was alive and Sam originally hit Gabriel when he appeared before him. Of course the hunter hurt his hand more than anything, but, Sam was really happy in the end. Apparently before his death, Gabriel had played around with so many humans, and didn't think anything of it. Of course humans get attached to anything that makes them feel happy, including the girls, and that was about to raise a lot of complications. Gabriel tried to heal Sam after being attacked by one of the girls, but, his abilities weren't really working. Not to mention he already had chosen to fall just to be with the hunters and Castiel again.
Gabriel stared through the window of the door to the operating room, he really couldn't see anything clear enough, and was quite worried about the hunter. A girl that Gabriel remembered before this whole mess started came up and just stabbed Sam. Even though Gabriel did kill her on the spot with his fallen powers, it didn't make the pain, or the guilt fade.
Dean didn't have any idea what his brother was up to or the fact that he had been hurt. He was out on a date exclusively with Castiel at some Carnival just enjoying the time they had together. They had been exclusive for about three weeks now and Dean was tired of hiding their relationship. Gabriel had to tell them sooner or later that he was alive, but, for now he focused on his Sammy.
People started to rush around in the emergency room, something was happening; Gabriel looked over at the machines, they were loud, and beeping rather quickly. He started to panic 'What's going on? I don't understand' his thoughts were endless as he began to worry more and more when he knew where the girl had stabbed Sam close to the heart. It was a vital spot and if Sam lived through this it would truly be a miracle. Gabriel knew the chances were little, but, he still had the little bit of hope inside him from the beginning.
After hours of waiting, the light turned off, and the doctors inside along with nurses walked by him talking about how another life was taken away from them. Gabriel stood in shock, 'No, you can't die, you can't do this to me' he ran inside the room, no one really stopped him; people understood how he could have felt. Someone you love dying, they assumed they were brothers or best friends, far from what Gabriel wanted them to be actually.
Gabriel made it over to Sam quickly as everyone, even the nurses left the room to give privacy; "Sam come on, you can't do this to me" Gabriel leaned over crying, actually crying for someone else, and held onto Sam's hand. The machines were off there was no way Sam could come back to life now. Gabriel couldn't give up, he was an angel, maybe not anymore for the lord. But, well enough that he knew what he could and couldn't do. He focused all of his energy into healing, he was using the love he felt for Sam, and he wasn't about to stop. The area around them was dim until Gabriel started to glow a little bit, his wings invisibly showing to shield them with the light, and he looked up once he was finished.
It took several moments, Gabriel realized nothing had changed, and his powers faded as he didn't leave Sam's side. Dead or alive, he wanted him to live, and he came back from death just for Sam no matter what it meant. Time passed and the doctors would return soon enough probably to clean up the room or use it for someone else. Gabriel's shoulders dropped as he looked back up at his dead crush. "Samuel, please don't leave me" Gabriel said kissing Sam on the lips pulling away only to feel something on the back of his head pulling him closer to Sam. He pulled away more now and saw Sam staring back at him with a warm hearted look in his eyes "I would never leave you"
