Chapter 1

Screams. Terrible screams rang out over the world. Darkness...vast darkness...it tour at
her heart...it wripped at her soul. The world she had learned to love. The son she had
carried...loved...raised...It was all going to be destroyed!
The darkness...it was consuming them all. Could she save them? Or give in to the power it
offered.
Closing her eyes, memories of training came back to her. Love. Pain. And she knew...
Her eyes snapped open. Silverish blue shined with anger...with a need to protect...
Forgive me...my friends...my family...this is what I have to do......And silver hair rose
around her....her own power called out...fought against the evil around her.
She burst into pure energy...and the evil disappeared back to where it came from...And
slowly, she drifted to the ground...
She was so tired. She couldn't move...she couldn't think...as she stared into the dark eyes
of Vegeta....the King of Saiyans...and with one last loving look...with a few choked words...
a promise that would last 1000 years and more...Serenity, Princess of the Moon Kingdom...
Queen of the Moon Kingdom and Saiyans...mother of Vegeta...Prince of the Saiyans...
Died.

She gasped awake, sitting up in her bed. She laid there, staring in front of her. At the
wall...Then she felt two arms encircle her. She felt herself being pressed against her lover...
17...and she leaned against him, closing her eyes.
"Are you alright, Usako?" He whispered in her ear.
And nodded slowly. The dream...it had been real...was it...She sighed as he pulled her down
next to him, laying against him. Her husband...her lover...she loved him...he would protect her...
But he couldn't protect her...from the memories...from the dreams of the past...
With a sigh...she closed her eyes, falling asleep again...to dream...to remember...to remember
a time when life was so different, yet the same...when she had been Lunarian. When she
had been Serenity...
