"Twilight? Is that you"? Applejack asked, still blinded by the amazing lights that had filled the sky overhead, a loud gasp was audible from everypony as the lights faded and Twilight was stood before her friends, wings unfurled
"why I-I've never seen anything like it" Applejack stuttered, trotting over to her friend
"why, you've become an Alicorn. I didn't even know that was possible" Rarity commented moving over to join Twilight
"ALICORN PARTY"! Pinkie yelled cheerfully jumping over them with a fake horn and wings attached while showering them with confetti
"wow! You look just like a princess" Fluttershy added
"That's because she IS a princess" Celestia informed them as she touched her hooves to the ground, another loud gasp came from the six stunned ponies
"hold on a second" Pinkie cried out. pulling a glass of water out of nowhere in a way only Pinkie Pie can manage, drinking it and proceeding to spit it out again
"a-a princess"? Twilight questioned. Celestia gently laid a hoof on Twilight's shoulder and began to explain
"since you've come to Ponyville you've displayed the charity... compassion... devotion... integrity... optimism and of course the leadership of a true princes"
"but does this mean I won't be your student anymore"? Twilight asked, fear and hurt evident in her tone
"not in the same way as before, I'll still be here to help and guide you... but we're all your students now too... you are an inspiration to us all Twilight"Celestia reassured, bowing before the young Alicorn, Twilight turned to see her friends also bowed down to her
"but what do I do now"? Twilight inquired in a panicked voice "is there a book on being a princess I should read"? she asked, reverting back to her old self
"there will be time for all of that later" Celestia chuckled
In Canterlot castle Princess Celestia was addressing her subjects "we are gathered here today in celebration of a momentous occasion, my most faithful student Twilight Sparkle has done many extraordinary things since she's lived in Ponyville, she even helped reunite me with my sister... Princess Luna. But today Twilight Sparkle did something extraordinary, she created new magic, proving without a doubt that she is ready to be crowned Equestria's newest princess... Fillies and Gentlecolts... May I present for the very first time... Princess Twilight Sparkle" Twilight entered the room flanked by a small herd of flag baring mares and royal guards, she made her way up to where the princesses Cadence, Celestia and Luna were stood. Spike steps up to Celestia's side carrying Twilight's new tiara, Celestia levitates it
and places it proudly atop of Twilight's mane.
Twilight is led out onto a balcony overlooking all of Canterlot. She looks down at the cheering crowds below and begins to wave "say something princess" Celestia whispers to her
"oh umm" Twilight clears her throat and prepares to address the ponies of Canterlot "a little while ago my teacher and mentor Princess Celestia sent me to live in Ponyville, she sent me to study friendship, which is something I didn't really care much about... But now, on a day like today... I can honestly say... I wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for the friendships I've made with all of you... Each one of you taught me something about friendship and for that I will always be grateful" Twilight explained, addressing her friends personally now, her friends smiled warmly at her and sunk into low bows "no" Twilight stopped them. They rose in alarm at the sternness in Twilight's voice "Applejack... Fluttershy... Rarity... Pinkie Pie... Rainbow Dash... My friends. I love you all, everything I am and everything I've done, it's all down to you. I couldn't have done any of it without your friendship. You bow to nopony" Twilight told them, bowing down in front of her best friends.
