"Speak, Clown!" Lucian screamed into Shaco's face. "Give me information. He slammed his fist into the captives stomach. Shack remained silent, his mask staring at him with a sick smile.
"Knock, knock," he whispered after a few minutes. Lucian glared at him and grimaced. He was the one who had been sent to interrogate the madman. He hayed dealing with people like that.
"Who's there?" he responded, humoring his prisoner. Shaco looked up, and his smile seemed to get bigger.
"Friends," he said. His voice was eerie and dark, with a slight hint at the madness behind his mask. Lucian chuckled.
"You can hang that one up," he said. "You're friends won't be coming to save you." Lucian was laughing hard now. He bent over to catch his breath. He could barely hear the clown whisper something.
"What was that?" he asked as he turned and looked at Shaco. The madman was staring straight at him.
"I said," the clown spoke, his voice rising. "'The joke's on you!'" The wall behind Lucian exploded with a loud boom. The shock wave launched the Purifier to the other side of the room.
"That was fun," a woman's voice said from the smoke. "Let's do it again." Two thin forms began to come into Lucian's sights. One was of a lithe woman with a minigun in her hands and a rocket launcher on her back. The other was of a tall, thin man. His hands held a gun and a mask covered his face.
"What do you say, Fishbones?" Jinx said as she grabbed her rocket launcher. "Me too." She swiped her blue bangs away from her eyes and took aim, sighting in on the downed opponent.
"I'll free our target," Jhin said. He walked over the chained prisoner and shot the shackles off.
"Thank you," Shaco said as he rubbed his wrists. "They were beginning to chafe." He let loose a psychotic laugh. Apparently, Jinx found it funny, too. She began to giggle.
"My head," Lucian said as he stood up. He clutched his head in pain. That was before he noticed the three people standing before him, two of them laughing.
"Can we just kill him already?" Jhin said.
"Be grateful. By slaying you now, I spare you an eternity of torture," Lucian said. He let off a huge volley of bullets at his opponents. Jhin and Jinx dove to the sides. Shaco disappeared. Jhin took out his rifle, Whisper, and began to fire from behind a piece of debris. Jinx tossed a chomper grenade at the enemy. It latched onto his gun and exploded, causing him to stumble and drop his guns. A huge cloud of smoke enveloped him.
"Where are they?" he said to himself. Shaco's laugh resonated through the smoke.
"Look behind you."
