Cloverkit groaned as she felt a paw nudge her flank.

"Cloverkit! Get up!" Cloverkit rolled over and placed a paw over her muzzle.

"Go away, Robinkit." She mewed. Her brother continued to tap her until she finally gave in.

"What do you want?" She snapped. Robinkit touched his tail to her muzzle, silencing her, and looked up at their mother. Her fur was ruffled and her eyes were droopy, but she was fast asleep. Robinkit then looked towards Shimmerkit, their sister. She was also in a deep sleep, the twitch of her paws showed that she was having a dream. Probably that weird one she always has of talking badgers.

"Uh, Cloverkit?" Robinkit waved his tail in her face. Cloverkit blinked.

"Sorry," She mewed, "Whats the plan?" Robinkit purred happily.

"We're sneaking out of camp." He announced. Cloverkit's eyes widened.

"But we're almost six moons! If we get caught, its goodbye apprenticeship!" She protested. Robinkit shook his head.

"Suit yourself." Cloverkit tried to stop her brother as he padded out of the nursery, but she feared she would wake her mother and littermate up, and then they would both be in trouble.

"Robinkit!" She whispered, catching up to him. Her brother's tail swished out of the nursery entrance.

"Great," She muttered, "Now I have to make sure the mouse-brain stays out of trouble." She quickly followed her brother out into the forest.

"Woah." Robinkit exclaimed, looking around at all the big trees. Cloverkit's eyes were wide with awe as she too gazed around at all the large bushes and trees.

"It looks like it never ends…" She breathed. Robinkit nodded, still stuck in a trance. Cloverkit jumped into the air, suddenly excited.

"Lets explore!" She meowed. Robinkit nodded and started running towards a massive oak tree.

"Look at how big this is!" He yowled, standing on his hind paws and looking up at the giant tree. Cloverkit sniffed around its roots. She could smell something that made her mouth water. She scouted around the tree until she found a small hole in the side of it.

"What is it?" Robinkit asked, coming to stand beside her.

"I don't know." Cloverkit replied, placing a paw inside. She heard a loud squeak and immediately withdrew her paw. A small speck of red was on one of her claws. She gave it a small flick of her tongue and her mouth began to water again. She quickly dove her paw back in, but this time she unsheathed her claws and pawed a small body out.

"It's a mouse!" Robinkit exclaimed. He started jumping up and down, his eyes wide and happy.

"We caught a mouse!" He chanted, "We caught a mouse!"

"You did what?" Robinkit stopped bouncing up and down and slowly turned around.

"H-hi Hawkthorn." Cloverkit stammered. Her mothers father looked down at the mouse that lay at the foot of the tree.

"Nice catch." He purred. Cloverkit looked up at him.

"But youre not supposed to be out of camp," He meowed sternly, "Your mother would be worried sick if she knew you were gone!" Cloverkit bowed her head.

"Im sorry, Hawkthorn." Robinkit mewed regretfully.

"Come on," He mewed, grabbing their small mouse in his jaws, "Lets go home."
