Author's note -This takes part in the latter part of the anime Yu-Yu Hakusho, where Yusuke's demon heritage has already been revealed. Also, the timing in the Yu-Yu Hakusho side of this crossover is pushed back, so that Yusuke's birthyear ends up being 2005. Yusuke being born in 2005 is going to be VERY important to the premise of this fic! (I'm going to ask the reader to imagine the necessary minor technological changes to the background (in the ningenkai, at least).

We open with a scene in the Makai - some nameless desert strewn with bizarre rock formations, with a lightning-jagged red sky. Panning over to a particularly tall rise, two figures become visible at the top. Zooming towards one of the figures, whom we soon identify as a certain ex-spirit detective named Yusuke Urameshi (in full demon "mode"), we see him looking off towards the distance, his phoenix-like spirit beast Puu standing right next to him, as if on guard. The viewpoint slowly shifts in the direction the two are facing. Soon, the object of their scrutiny becomes visible - a large black portal, seemingly hanging in the air, out of which, a figure is seen emerging - a huge, dark-purple being, of metallic seeming, and height greater than many human buildings, a being otherwise known as Galvatron.
Panning back towards Yusuke and Puu, we see Yusuke tying something up, a scroll of some sort by best guess, and placing it in a pouch on a leather harness we just now notice Puu wearing. Puu soon flies purposefully off, away from Yusuke, who now turns his attention back to the crazed Decepticon leader (whom we hear muttering something unrecognizable). A shimmering is soon seen over Yusuke's form, growing larger and more opaque, consequently blocking out view of Yusuke. The shimmering stops, solidifying into a shape as tall as Galvatron. An Autobot now stands were Yusuke stood, with armor colored the same blue as Puu, great metallic wings unfurled in a defiant posture, a short but wicked-looking blade in each hand. His blue optics glare at Galvatron, who momentarily stares in visible shock at the Autobot, before growling softly in anger "Optimus Prime!" (AN : Optimus' head is the one part of him that DIDN'T change, except for a now missing mask, so he was quite recognizable to Galvatron, who still retains some of Megatron's memories) The greatly altered Optimus Prime smiles savagely, and says in a deep voice "Round two, "Galvatron", and no one to "help" you this time". With that, Optimus/Yusuke launches himself at Galvatron with a savage yell!

There we go, the prologue to Prime Demon is out! Yay! I've really been trying to get this idea out for quite a while now. (grumbles) Anywho, next chapter will actually go back in time somewhat, to reveal just how Yusuke, now shown in the prologue as the reincarnation of Optimus Prime, gained knowledge of his previous life.
