Shadowland Desertion

This starts from the fourth book. It is different than it is in the book, and if I get anyhting wrong, i'm sorry. But, Paul takes Suze to the shadowland, but the thing is, to find Jesse. Jesse is not there. He is wherever he usually is, not w/Suze.

Ok, this starts off in the 4th book. I have read all of them, but I thought this would be a cool story changer. Anyway this is when Paul and Suze (Susannah) are in the shadowlands. But Jessie is not there.

Book 1

Prologue

Jessie. Jessie, is gone? How could that have happened. Had he finally figured out he doesn't like me? He left, the world is coming to an end.

Oh, ok. Fine.

I won't be so melodramatic. Well, you would be, too, if the guy you like left. Well in my case a ghost.

Yeah you heard me, a ghost.

Jessie, apparently died a hundred and fifty years ago. Because of his ex-fiance's husband. He killed Jessie. Because he cancelled his wedding with his cousin, Maria de Silva.

She got pissed of at him and told her secret lover to kill him.

Yeah that was harsh.

I had just gotten the call that Jake Slater, a little twelve-year-old boy, had just exorcized my boyfriend.I was freaked. I have no idea of how to get him back.

Did I forget to mention, Paul, yes Paul Slater, is in my room telling me he is a mediator like me. Except that he doesn't call himself a mediator, but a shifter. A shifter apparently can roam between the shadowland and the human world.

I was shocked.

"Suze, you and I can go there. If you want to get him back, I mean." Paul said, sitting on my bed.

"Please?" I asked looking up at him. His blue-eyed gaze was fixed on me. He smiled that smile that showed his white teeth.

"Yeah, I'll help you. But do you have any paper and a pencil?" I would never think why he wanted that, but oh well.

"Yeah, it's over there on the dresser." He nodded and stood up to walk over there. I stared at the widow seat, where Jessie always sat. Well when he was here.

I could see Spike sitting on the branch in the tree outside my window. He misses Jessie also.

"Do you want to go now?" He asked, I turned my head to look at him.

"Yeah lets go."
