Hi! I'm not sure how great this is, but I've recently got back into Durarara! and my love for Izaya Orihara has come back full force. He's such a piece of trash. This is the first poem I've written without completely rhyming, so...

Oh, and before I forget. Disclaimer!: I own nothing but the idea for this poem. Durarara! was written by Ryohgo Narita.

Anyway, I hope you like it. Reviews are greatly appreciated!

I love humans,

Plain and simple.

Watching their expressions,

Their actions,

Seeing their emotion on display,

It thrills me.

I love it.

Controlling them,

I crave more.

I'll be their savior,

Their friend,

Their demise,

In disguise.

I rule them,

From above.

I watch,

And wait.

I plan,

I bait.

They have no idea,

How fascinating,

They truly are.

It's bizarre,

How they live their lives,

Ever changing.

Or never changing.

Will they evolve,

Or not?

I can help them,

If I choose.

I can destroy them,

For my amusement.

It's so fun!

What will they do next?

A text here,

A call there,

And they bend to my will.

Though sometimes unpredictable,

I love them still.

My play things,

My pawns,

They're just pieces on the board.

It's entertaining

The way,

They think they have power.

They don't,

Of course,

I run this city.

I'll win,

This war,

I've started,

And when I die,

My Valkyrie will save me,

And take me,

To the place,

I've dreamt of,

Since finding this head.

And if my precious humans,

Are worthy,

They may come as well.

I love them,

You see,

And I'll need something to occupy me,

In the afterlife,

And what better entertainment,

Than the things,

I love,

The most?
