"I don't see it… " Zack admitted, his head titled at a slight angle, his mouth agape and eyes narrowed at the shattered pieces of skull on the table in front of him.
"Oh come on, Zack!" Hodgins bellowed. "The Kiss in season two? Altered States, the whole 'soul mates' thing, the lingering glances in practically every episode, it all points to one thing!"
"I still don't see it, Xena had many sexual liaisons with males throughout the series, and Garbielle married Predicas." Zack countered rationally.
"Bah! All ploys to justify the government censorship that kept them from being truly together," Hodgins argued back. "There is something wrong with you my friend, you just can't accept that two totally hot warrior chicks were in love. You are so not a guy, I'm not even sure you're human."
The two men looked around awkwardly as Dr. Brennan approached their work area, probably to ask Zack about cause of death, and Hodgins about creepy crawlies and dirt. The two would have no answers as the Xena Gabby subtext analysis come debate had occupied most of their time.
Hodgins decided to take a chance. "Doctor Brennan, will you tell your assistant that Xena and Gabby were totally doing it, he wont believe me."
Brennan paused for a moment. "While I'd agree that there was very tangible sexual tension between the two, and obviously a deep connection between the two both emotionally and spiritually. I highly doubt that their relationship ever came to fruition." She replied thoughtfully. "Have you ascertained the cause of death yet, Zack?" She asked, ever focused on her work.
