Jeux D'Enfants
Prologue:
The game had started before they had even met; the day when fifteen year old Casey Mcdonald stepped through the doors at Sir John Sparrow Thompson High, frustrated, defiant, and unsuspecting of the events that were to follow. As Ralph stood before here, hand firmly shaking her own, he spoke the two words that would start the game that lasted for years to come.
"I'm Derek."
And just like that, the boy behind them, face hidden by the school paper knew it had begun.
The scheming.
The pranking.
It was all a game to him; a game that would continue all through high school, and a game that would cause the continuous bickering he loved so much.
He'd fuck up somehow; she'd be there to glue the pieces together.
He'd piss her off; she'd try her hardest to get him even angrier.
He'd beat her at her own game; she'd come back strong and shove his victory into the ground.
It was a game of Dares, Bets, and broken hearts, but most of all.
It got her attention.
