*The Journey
Attended a Council, saw the ring
Embarked on a quest to destroy the thing
Scaled a mountain, braved the snow
Climbed back down, to Moria we go!
Battled a cave troll, a Balrog came
"You cannot pass"- A call in vain
Crossed the bridge, Gandalf fell
One less companion than set out from Rivendell
Entered the woods, which Gimli so feared
Met the Lady, his fright disappeared
Received blessed gifts, bid the Lady farewell
All save Legolas seemed under her spell
Journeyed down a river, in boats from Lórien
Set up camp in a forest, I tried to claim the ring
Orcs attacked, I blew my horn
I took many arrows, spotted Aragorn
The hobbits had been taken, the quest was in vain
He spoke to me, I gasped in pain
I understood no more that was said
The words of the living are unheard by the dead
