Luck Day

AN: E/O Drabble Challenge, word was 'Shudder'. I was bound and determined to write SOMETHING for this drabble so here I am at 4:45 staring at the usual blank screen which is sticking it's tongue out at me in glaring defiance.

(Makes horns at computer, corkscrewing hand and leaning as far back as possible in chair to give maximum effect. Computer laughs in a disdainful manner.)

My husband, in his ever-present desire to help me suggested this drabble:

"The light in the room was too bright, so Dean got up and closed the shudder."

I told him it wouldn't work cause it had to 100 words long. Rolls eyes.

I hope he was kidding.

Dean's skin tried to shudder off his body as the biggest frigging rat he had ever seen detached itself from the shadows and began to climb his body.

Horrified, he jerked on his bindings, choking behind his gag, desperately twisting his body to try dislodge the creature, but it clung like a burr and enjoyed the ride.

Settling on Dean's chest, tiny black eyes studying him, it stretched forward to nuzzle at the corner of his mouth, claws digging into his chin as Dean tried to turn away.

Abruptly, it turned, chittering loudly to the others.

Come and get it.

End Notes: I dunno. Maybe I should have gone with "close the shudders".
