Harry sat under a tree in the front yard humming the Happy Birthday tune to himself. He wouldn't be receiving a gift today. No party. No cake. No Happy Birthday wish. The Dursley's didn't care.

Aunt Petunia was inside cleaning. Uncle Vernon had gone to work. Dudley was out riding bikes with his friends. To them today was just another day.

What would Harry be doing right now if his parents hadn't died in that car crash? Would they have remembered? Would his mother have baked him a cake? Would he have been spoiled with gifts? Would his parents sang him happy birthday? Would he get to blow out eight candles and make a birthday wish? Would they have thrown him a surprise party?

Every year Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon acted like this day wasn't anything special. Why would they celebrate something on an ordinary day? But today wasn't ordinary. Today was special - at least to Harry. He hummed the Happy Birthday tune to himself again.
