Pursuit
Twilight sets in, chasing the last rays of sunshine away, as she climbs the rigging, hell-bent on making certain the Cygnus is ready for the morning tide. The news of Jack's alliance with Blackbeard and his lovely daughter reached Elizabeth a fortnight after her argument with Teague. While she has heard about Jack's fondness for Angelica Teach, it isn't jealousy that makes her long for him. Elizabeth is still confused about her feelings for him, however, she is no longer afraid to admit it.
Sometimes she wants Will to abandon his duties and come to see her. She wishes he would help her forget about her affection for Jack, but he never comes. Were it not for Calypso's compassion, she wouldn't know anything about her husband of a few sunlit moments.
Casting a glance over Shipwreck, she leans against the mainmast. The wind tugs at her flaxen hair as she resolves to find Jack at all costs; to tell him about the baby. Although she isn't willing to call her marriage a mistake, she has matured enough to realize that she shouldn't have let Jack go. Humanum est errare, and so she will set things right between them. Gentle as a dove and wise as a serpent, she will persuade him to give her another chance.
