Mine

"So then what do you think this is about?" He spits out the words so forcefully Yuuta winces.

"How should I know?" The waver is in his voice betrays him, even though he forces himself to glare into his brother's eyes. "You never tell me anything."

Fuji grips Yuuta's arm harder, fingers sinking into his warm flesh, and he shakes him. Rattles him like a doll. "Don't be an idiot. This isn't about love. It's not about mercy. It isn't the lies you've been telling yourself for the past three months. Fuck, Yuuta."

"What is it, then?"

Fuji doesn't answer at first. He swallows and Yuuta hears the click in his throat. He's almost grateful, because to be honest, he doesn't want to know. He sort of likes the fantasies he conjures in his mind before he slips off to sleep. He likes reading into Fuji's words more than is probably healthy. He doesn't think he can bear to hear the truth.

"I'll tell you what it is," Fuji murmurs. "And this time, you're going to listen to me. You understand?"

Fuji's voice wobbles when he speaks, and this stuns Yuuta into silence. Somehow he remembers to nod.

"This is about…" Fuji licks his lips. Glances around the dark bedroom. Tightens his grasp around Yuuta's arm and holds their faces a bit closer. "This is about keeping ourselves together. Don't you get it?" Is Fuji pleading with him, or has Yuuta gone mad? Is his bottom lip trembling, or are the shadows playing games with him? "Fuck, Yuuta, don't you get it?"

"It's incest." That word. That fucking word. God, it's ripping his throat apart, saying that word, but if he doesn't he thinks he'll go crazy. Because that's what this is.

But Fuji stares at him as though he's been smacked. "Incest?" he asks hollowly.

"Well…you're my brother, and you like me…and when brothers like brothers…that means…"

"Is that what you think?" The corners of his mouth twitch. "You think I'm a brother who's in love with his brother? No." Fuji shoves Yuuta onto the bed, and instead of climbing on top of him like Yuuta expects he steps backwards. He laughs as he pushes the hair out of his face. "I'm not a brother in love with his brother. I'm Shusuke in love with Yuuta. Don't you get it? Answer me, don't you get it?"

"I get it," Yuuta snaps. "I understand, alright?"

Now Fuji crawls over him. He presses their foreheads together. "You're mine."

"I know."

"You better know." Their fingers link together, and with his other hand Yuuta starts unbuttoning Fuji's shirt. "You better know, Yuuta."

"I know."
