A/N: This is the first time I posted a poem-like fanfic To begin with I was never good poems and other forms of literature, but after further reading, I fell like I am ready to make one :D So I hope you guys will enjoy reading this fanfic!

He had no time to fool around.
He had a duty, a responsibility, an obligation,
To all the people of Viridian City,
To protect them from harm,
It was a burden he was willing to take.
He had to keep up a good reputation,
As a Gym Leader and a trainer,
Everyone knew him,
He was both strong and smart,
He had a personality every girl in the city would fall for.
One mistake could change everything,
It was something he should never break.
He loved his Pokemon,
He took care of them, groomed them,
He trained them to their highest level,
With one goal in his mind…
To beat his rival, Red.
And he would train every single minute of the day if he had to.
Unknowing whether he will win or lose,
It was a risk he was willing to make.
