Hero of the Sky Rewritten Version, Chapter One
I'm back!
As I rewrite and revise chapters more things will be added and others will be deleted. I don't think that I'll be removing anything that will make it completely different than what it was before, but changes will be made. I will be deleting my other chapters(most likely), I already downloaded them and have the original documents, so I can always repost the new versions of the chapters. I'm doing this because if I post a chapter that's been edited the one that follows after may not make sense, as new things could have been added or the chapter have been added to another to make a longer chapter...if that makes sense. It did in my head...anyways, I hope you like this new chapter. It does contain spoilers for Skyward Sword (obviously, lol) I got the idea for this in the end of the Hyrule historia book it's a it's a manga of before the island in the sky. You know the legend, the beginning of it all. The land in the sky. You may know of it, but not all of it.
The great legend tells of a boy who was the Goddess's Chosen Hero, and you may know of whom I speak.
It began long ago, in a land where people known as Hylians lived. Along with these people lived other creatures, creatures that lived on land, in the sea, and eventually those that would live in the sky.
The darkness was growing, a battle was coming, creatures of all races would fall.
That darkness was a demon king named Demise.
When it was finally upon them, they did their best to fight against the demon. A great warrior who had been imprisoned because he was thought to be the one that had caused the beast to come, was released from the prison to go and fight.
With the help of the goddess Hylia, the hero help defeat the beast.
Though warrior died defeating the creature, the goddess promised to meet him again in a mortal form.
And she did...
Hundreds of years after the battle of The Surface the goddess was born in a mortal form on an island known as Skyloft. Within that same year The Goddess's Chosen Hero was born as well. He and his sister, twin sister in fact. This of course leaves those only knowing the original tale wondering why she is not mentioned. Perhaps it is time to tell the tale of the Hero of the Sky.
"What will we name them?" The mother asked as she held her newborn baby girl while her husband held the boy.
"What about...Link for our boy?" He suggested.
She nodded.
"Do you have a name for the girl?"
"I picked out our son's name. I think it's only fair you pick out the girl's."
His wife smiled at him before looking to the girl in her arms. Dark wisps of fine hair across her small head and small eyes opened staring at the blur of the colors of the world around her.
"Sky." The mother decided on as the tiny fingers started to wrap around one of her own.
"Sky?" The father questioned, liking the name though curious of the reason.
"Her eyes..." She breathed out the words, "are like an evening sky."
Sky...what a beautiful name, little did they know of the storms she would bring, the anger, tears and grief, so much pain the girl would someday bring upon herself...and to those around her.
Her eyes...they reflected the sky, at the moment, they were a calm stormless night.
