She wonders whether it's worth it anymore. This war of theirs. They've been trying to protect and save lives…but in the end, will it matter? At this rate, there will be no lives to be saved.
Too many people have died to this day. Not just warriors – but the innocent as well. And nobody fighting here today can be called innocent – they've all killed and not one of them has taken the time to grieve over the losses, whether or not that person may be their best friend.
And she doesn't know whether her partner, Ven, is dead. She doesn't know. But it's extremely likely.
And like everyone else, she won't take the time to grieve.
She won't have time to grieve. Because she still has her duty.
