She was still drunk. He could tell by the soft sibilant greeting she gave him when he walked back into her room. He didn't know why he expected her to be miraculously cured of her drunken state.

Maybe it would prove he wasn't losing his mind and imagining things such as Yankumi being drunk and only him being there to take care of her.

The throw up stains on his shirt was proof enough. He glanced down at her.

The lack of glasses and cowlicks of hair made her look wild.

There was a thick film of remoteness covering Kumiko's eyes, and it frightened Shin a bit.

"S-s-Shey S-s-s-shin." she muttered incomprehensibly, and what appeared to be, painfully lulled her head around to glimpse at him dreamily.

It was just like the mis-adventures of Class 3-D again except Sensei was flat-backed on a futon, intoxicated, and he wasn't her student anymore.

Shin didn't know if he should jump for joy, or cry tears of shame.

"Honestly, Yankumi..." 'Just lay there, please.'

A hot shower was really starting to sound good to him right now. However he couldn't leave Kumiko defenseless.

She was hardly defenseless, but that wasn't the point.

Tetsu and Minoru avoid her like a leper when she is drunk, and Ryuichiro wasn't to be seen at all. So it was just him. Just Shin.

Schooling and college didn't prepare you for these kinds of things.

Kumiko made a gurgling sound that distinctly sounded as if she was attempting to speak but didn't even have enough control over her body to swallow her saliva first.

Shin sighed "Yes?"

"S-sja know? If you were-eh not s-so young...ugh." She half heartedly made a rude gesture. Shin snorted.

Kumiko must have taken that as an insult. She scrunched her face and hollered,

"Wha...? I'm s'not as innocent as you think!"

"Well I know that, Ojou."

She raised a wobbly hand, and shot him the finger. Least she could do that much.

Shin grinned "Is that an invitation?"

She groaned, dropped her hand and turned over. "I'm yer teacher for christs-s-sakes!"

Her words were hissed like an over zealous snake, and they bit like one too. Poisonous venom seeping into a blood stream quicker than breath.

"Not anymore." But his words had a venom of their own.

Sudden quiet hit both.

"My S-s-stomach s'hurts." She whispered. Shin thinks that it probably wasn't her stomach, and that it has something to do with a certain Shinohara-kun.

Shin sighed "I know."
