A/N: Hi :) first fanfic on here, so I apologize if it sucks. I hope you guys like it, and if I did anything wrong, ANYTHING, please, tell me! I love feedback so I can work on improving my stories. :)
Disclaimer: I have no idea what good this does and no, I don't own Gravity Falls or its characters.
BOOM.
Another thunderstorm-filled night. In which Mabel was tossing and turning in her bed, whimpering and squealing silently, feeling more and more insomniac and frightened by the second. As soon as a fresh, new thundering sound rolled in, she could feel her heart skip a beat.
She was clutching onto Waddles for comfort, who, in return, was sleeping heavily, paying no attention to Mabel whatsoever. Well, what do you expect a pig to do? That didn't calm her down all that much, but she just thought something was better than nothing. She could get up and snuggle into Dipper's bed like she did when they were six, but she didn't want to bother him.
She rolled around to her other side and faced towards his bed. He was sleeping peacefully, his breathing stable. He seemed to be having a good dream, Mabel thought because he gave the occasional smile and laugh.
Mabel sighed. She couldn't wake him up. He was just sleeping so deeply that it would've felt wrong.
That thought didn't last long before the most loud thunder Mabel had ever heard rolled in. The impact of the thunder shook the bedroom violently. Had it lasted longer it could've qualified for a massive earthquake.
That had caused Mabel to scream at the top of her lungs, alarming Dipper and waking him up in a second.
"Wha-what? What's going on, are you hurt?" he hurled multiple questions at her, and she breathed heavily.
She nodded weakly towards the sky, looking out the window.
Dipper grunted and sighed. How could he have forgotten thunderstorms scared the life out of his sister?
"Oh gosh Mabel I'm so sorry," he apologized, motioning his sister to come over to his bed.
"But... Dipper-" Mabel began but Dipper cut her off.
"No, seriously, it's okay. I might need my fair share of space when I sleep, but you know... you're my sister." he said, patting the space next to him he made for Mabel.
She smiled and slowly got up, walking with a terrified look on her face towards his bed hastily.
"Don't worry, I won't let anything hurt you." he said reassuringly, and he meant it. Not once had he ever intentionally hurt Mabel, or let anyone else hurt her.
Mabel grinned and quickly snuggled herself into his bed. He draped his blanket over her and sighed sleepily.
"Goodnight, Mabel." he said, waiting for her to nod off before he could sleep.
"Night, Dipper." she replied with a thick voice, clearly very tired. It didn't take her long to fall asleep.
Dipper yawned and fell asleep, draping his arm over Mabel.
A/N: God, that was SO fluffy, seriously. But it was so fun to write! I hope you liked it, seriously. I might have went overboard with the OOC-ness but I think it turned out okay. :D review please!
