One Word Prompt: Bath
Swan Queen
Laughing, Emma wiped a splash of water from her face, "All right, you little goober, stop splashing so I can rinse your hair." She grabbed for the little tub that was used for just that.
"But I'm makin' waves!" Her baby boy cried out, making a 'pssstcchh' sound when he slapped at the bath water again.
"Mickeal, are you not behaving?" Emma turned at the sound of her wife's voice, smiling brightly when Regina stepped into the bathroom, still dressed in her work slacks and blouse.
"No! Make waves!" Mickeal giggled and splashed a little, giving a toothy grin to his second mother.
"Well then, if you're so busy making waves, then we can skip our bedtime stor-"
Mickeal's squeal of disapproval cut her off as he dumped his head into the bathwater and came back up spluttering, "A' done!" He screamed as he made to clamber out covered in suds.
"Whoa, goober, hold on!" Emma caught him in her arms before he could slip and smack his face somewhere, "You still have some soap in your hair. Let's sit back down so I can rinse it out, while Mommy goes and gets dressed for story time, okay?"
Their son looked at her with wide eyes, "No miss story time?"
"No, if you sit still and let me rinse out your hair, we won't miss story time. Isn't that right, Mommy?" Emma looked to Regina with a smirk.
"That's right, baby. Mommy still needs to get ready for story time, so let Momma help you finish up, and then we can read for bedtime."
Mickeal calmed and plopped into the water, sloshing more of the sudsy water over the edge, "Rinse, Momma! Rinse!" He prompted, using his hands to stuff Emma's hand- that was still holding the little tub- into her face.
Emma chuckled as she quickly stood to place a kiss to Regina's lips, "Go get changed, I'll finish up in here."
Regina smiled and nodded, "I'll just magic the floor dry once you're done. Mickeal, behave, baby."
He nodded, "I behave!"
Emma gave Regina's ass a light tap when she turned around to exit the bathroom, laughing at the sultry glare she received over a silk clad shoulder.
Smiling, Emma sat back down on the stool next to the bathtub, humming as she and Mickeal finished up with bath time, without the big waves and splashes.
A/N: Here's another! Though for Swan Queen and not Mirandy. With my huge problem with H-A-H and the timeline, you deserve a little piece of fluff.
I'm terribly sorry for my continued absence from H-A-H. I was working on the next chapter and realized that somewhere I messed up my timeline. So I've been reading through it and sifting out the timeline all over again to fix the mistakes.
I have not abandoned it, but it may be a while still before I get the next chapter up.
Thank you all for your patience and kindness, and lovely reviews. You're all wonderful.
All my love,
CBC
