X-X-X-X-X
A chill wind blew over the oceans, countless forests, and the striking mountains. It swept across plains and hills, over deserts and seas, and through stone and fire. As it continued on its' guided journey it was joined by light and darkness, and energy as well. This myriad of magic had but one purpose to it's existence ever since it's release – to bring change.
With change comes strength. This strength would help fight the rising Darkness that threatened to shroud countless dimensions, worlds, and realities. But the wind knew none of this. It knew none of the reasons behind its very existence; it knew only its purpose which it sought to fulfill, regardless of the consequences.
For the past few years the darkness in the world had been steadily rising. Evils had risen up that were so completely aphotic that they lacked any goal at all, except - perhaps - that of power. This is an evil that delights in torture, pain and death. It thrives in the darkness of our hearts, and revels in destruction. It feeds on hate, as much as it creates it. It plays on the insecurities and the differences that make every being unique; it manipulates them to its own ends.
While it thrives on hate and pain and rage, that is not this evils purpose. You see, this great evil, it was once a man – a man who sought power. Power, however, corrupts. First he sought power for vengeance, then he sought it for itself, and then he lost himself in it. The problem is when power in and of itself becomes a goal, all is lost. It is this evil that forced change to come into being. It forced creativity to perish under the threat that all would perish.
Harry ran through the list of spells in his repertoire, and shot them out faster and faster at his numerous attackers. When a spell he could use didn't come to mind he made one up. This time they would not get away. This time they wouldn't escape to cause more death and torture and grieving. This time…this time he would win. With blood pouring down his skin and sweat sliding across his brow he moved onwards. His heart in shreds he continued for those who had perished. He persisted so they would not kill another day.
"Iceni!"
It is power which corrupts, which kills. It may not be the teeth tearing into flesh, the darkness destroying souls, or the hand which holds the gun or wand and says the damning words. Nevertheless, it is where all evil begins – and naturally, it's ultimate doom. From power, Darkness is bred. It is unto this Darkness that change was born.
The power was at the redhead's fingertips – literally. She reached out and in and out and there! As the Magick came into being she could have done anything with it. She could have transformed herself into anything, could have torn down the walls between the dimensions, or destroyed the differences between reality and sanity. She could have ended the world. Instead she made just one request, not for herself but for the world.
'Share your power.' She implored, 'Bring with you Change and with that Change, Strength.' The redhead enforced 'Change destiny.'
In blood they were bound. Each would have to make their own way in the world, and the world would do them no favours. Their way was better than some, harder than most. The world is a place of darkness, not unlike Pandora's box. Darkness, is in fact quite similar to Pandora's box…
He moved onward, the love for his family and his determination were the only things that kept him going these days. In the end they were what squashed the part of him ready to fall to the ground and weep. They won out against the part of him that wanted to surrender, that wanted to die and rejoin those he had lost.
Those who had forced this on him could gladly take the fame, the pain, the stench of death…All he wanted was peace.
For where there is Darkness, there is also hope.

I hope you enjoy this prologue. A lot more will make sense in the next chapter. Also 'Iceni' means ice in latin. Please review.
