"How should I tell him?"

"How would he react?"

"Would he leave me?"

"How did this happen?"

Those thoughts lingered in Jasiri's mind as she paced slowly around the edge of the Pride Lands that lead into the Outlands on Flat Ridge Rock. This was the usual waiting place where she would meet Kion on their dates.

But today was different.

After a few minutes Jasiri eventually saw Kion wandering towards her. Kion had certainly grown over the years, gaining a mane and his height towers over Jasiri but still contains the same amiable and laidback lion cub she fell in love with. As Jasiri saw Kion, her nerves kicked in again.

"This is a bad idea"

"I can't tell him…"

"NO! I have to… he deserves to know"

"Jasiri?"

Jasiri jumped. She was too much into her thoughts that Kion had arrived, looking confused to why she didn't greet him as usual.

"Oh, sorry, Kion. I was just… in my thoughts…" Jasiri said, looking down at the grass.

"You're not yourself lately, is something wrong? Is it Janja again? Or Zira?" Kion asked, concerned for his mate.

"No, nothing like that…" Jasiri replied.

"Then what is it… you can talk to me and whatever it is, I'll support you… You're my mate, you know" Kion said, going in to nuzzle Jasiri.

"This is it… there's no going back from this…"

"Kion, there's something I should tell you. Something I should've told you awhile ago…" Jasiri said, finally looking up at her mate.

Kion gulped. Jasiri knew he expected the worst but it wasn't what she was about to tell him.

"I'm… I'm… I'm…" Jasiri stuttered, nerves kicking in again.

"Come on. Just tell him!"

Jasiri immediately pulled Kion's paw and rests it on her stomach.

"Jasiri, I don't understand. What are you telling me?" Kion asked, confused.

"I am telling you! Look where your paw is..." Jasiri said.

Kion looked at his paw that rested Jasiri's stomach. As he examine it, he felt something in her stomach, little movement. Then Kion finally clicked.

"You're… You're…" Kion said, with realisation, a little lost for words.

"Yes Kion, I am." Jasiri said, tears of joy about to fall from her eyes.

"But how? I mean we're two different species…" Kion asked.

"I don't know." Jasiri laughed a little bit, the first laugh since this conversation started.

"So, I'm going to be a dad, huh?" Kion asked, still shocked.

"Yes…" Jasiri said.

"Oh, I'm going to have to tell my father. Oh, he'd be furious. I haven't told him about us yet" Kion said.

"Neither does my clan. They'd think we're just friends. Oh, what would they say?" Jasiri said.

The thought of telling her clan hit Jasiri like a ton of rocks. The thoughts lingered in her mind.

"What would they say?"

"Would they kick me out?"

"Would they be happy for me?"

Kion saw that Jasiri was uneasy and went to comfort her by letting her rest on his chest.

"Hey, no matter what happens, I'll be there to support you always and I'll love you and the cubs forever till the day I die" Kion reassured her.

"Thanks, Kion. I love you too." Jasiri said.

The couple decided to spend the night at Flat Ridge Rock. Kion looked on at the stars while Jasiri was fast asleep next to him. Kion looked at the snoozing hyena and thought of the cubs they were going to raise together, no matter if the world turns it's back of them, they'll turn their back to the world.

Together.

That's all I got. Please forgive me. I don't really know the personalities of Kion and Jasiri since I only watch two Lion Guard episodes.

This is TARDIS1039, signing off, Allons-y!
