Chapter 1 - Introductions
"BELLA!" Screeched Alice over the melodic sounds of James Blunt, the only music I could stand after breaking up from a two year relationship with a certain Jacob 'dick head' Black. I groaned and pulled myself into a sitting position, I hadn't really moved from my bed since we broke up a week ago.
"What do you WANT?!" I cried.
"Get up, were going out, I can't stand staying in here another night, I need to go out." Alice was a party animal so I was surprised shed lasted this long.
"Now I've picked you out a hot dress and there's a new club called fever opening in town and it's just the place for you to meet a new guy. Don't say no, because you're coming." And with that she glided out the room, I couldn't stand her sometimes, she always won the arguments. I met her a year ago when I started college and we'd been best friends since and even moved in together, although times like these I regretted it, I'd only been split up from dick head for a week and she was already trying to get me to move on? I hauled my ass out of bed and into the shower, getting out my favourite strawberry body wash and rubbing the stress away and down the drain. I did my usual getting ready routine of putting a dab of lip gloss on and a streak of mascara and I was ready, all I had to do was work out how to get into the tangle of straps and lace that Alice seemed to think was a dress.
"I'm done." I stumbled into the living room, not looking where I was going, and then proceeded to stumble into the hottest man I had ever laid eyes on.
"Um I'm sorry. Hi. I'm Bella." I stuttered, instantly turning a bright shade of red.
"It's okay" He chuckled.
"I'm Emmet." He grinned a goofy but adorable grin and (and southerly regions) melted.
"Enough with the introductions lets go, I'm ready to get slaughtered mate!" Oh how Alice had a way with words. She ushered us both out to the taxi waiting outside and I tried and failed to climb in gracefully without exposing any underwear. The taxi sped off and I settled into the greasy leather seat, wondering what was going to happen tonight…
