CHAPTER 1: THEIR SECRETS
' She's like a cloud, so beautiful and free. Whenever I see her or just hear her voice, my heart beats faster…'
" Shikamaru hurry up or we'll be late!" came a thundering voice from downstairs.
'… I know that she's so troublesome, but I couldn't keep my eyes off her. I love her for some reasons, but I wonder if she feels the same way for me. I don't just love her for her looks, but also for her attitude. Maybe it's because I've spent too much time with her. She's my BFF and will always be. She's the girl I cared and loved. The only problem is that I couldn't confess to her about my feelings. I'm such a coward when it comes to this.
" Shikamaru! How many times do I have to shout 'til the peak of my voice for you to wake up? "
" OK, OK! I'm coming already." shouted the black haired boy while putting his black diary back to his closet and hid it under one of the piles of his clothes. He opened the door of his bedroom and ran down stairs then suddenly…
" Finally, you woke up! Shikamaru, you're such a disobedient and a lazy bum. Hmmmpphhh. " shouted the blonde hair girl who stood in front of Shikamaru. Her soft, blonde hair opened and hands at her hips. Her blue, cerulean eyes glaring with anger. "What were you doing upstairs anyway?"
" Oh, sorry Ino. I was… well, … I was… umm…"
"Well, what?"
"Oh never mind! It isn't part of your business anyways."
"Fine! Now off to the table before you put us both into trouble for being late."
Shikamaru sighed loudly and walked lazily towards the kitchen. 'Too troublesome.' he thought. 'Why did I agree to this deal anyway? What was I thinking?'
The deal? What deal? You see, the original formation of INO-SHIKA-CHO (which are their fathers) went into an AS rank mission which will take a year and a half to complete it. Ino's mother decided to help them and so she went with them while Shika's mother decided to look after the Nara clan's research forest so she'll be gone for a while. Choji's mom decide to stay so there's no problem on that one. The only problem is that: No one is going to look after Ino and she hates being in a place all by herself. On shika's behalf, there will be no one who's going to cook meal for him or wake him up every morning. As a solution, their parents decided that they should stay together. Ino gets to sleep in the Nara's house as long as she cooks meal for both of them, wakes shikamaru up every morning and all other things a woman does.
"Shikamaru hurry up. I'm all set already. If you don't hurry up, I'll leave you." shouted Ino from the living room while tapping her right foot impatiently.
'What's taking that guy so long?' she thought, 'Well, he sure is lazy but strong. He isn't cute like Sai or Sasuke but he has a good, loyal and determined heart. I love him but I'm not sure if he loves me back. If I confess to him about my feelings for him, our since-childhood-friendship might go away, besides, he likes Temari and I'm sure she's stronger than I am and someone who deserves him better.'
'Ding – dong – ding – dong.'
"Oh!" Ino exclaimed. "Now who would be visiting us at this time of the day."
She ran quickly towards the door and opened it. To her surprise, a blonde haired girl (obviously not Ino) with four ponytails and a huge fan at her back greeted her.
