a/n: this is a story of how Itachi fell in love with all things dark, there are cars and roads so it's a modern day version okay here you go

Well as far as I can remember I have loved all things scary but it was one night ten years ago I was just four years old.

I was running alone a deserted road on a cold dark autumn night. My dad and mum walking slowly behind me pushing my younger brother in the pram, the freezing wind that smelt of rain felt fresh on my face which was scratched up from tripping over earlier.

As I made my way down the road dark road heading for the lights of the load shops up ahead I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I tried to slow to a stop but I was sprinting to fast to stop quickly so I just kept running until I slowed enough into a slow jog and turned towards my parents stopping ten metres ahead but my focus was completely drawn by the shadowy outline of a giant house that was on top of the hill, the bone chilling wind hit me like ice and I could faintly hear cars zooming past.

I was completely enraptured by this beautiful black and broke down house, the shattered windows to the cracks in the wood or chips in the paint, the smallest detail could change the whole look on the house. Except this house looked like an old style haunted house. A double door that would swing open with a loud creak, hard wood floors that would whine under the pressure of stepping on it, a front porch with a waist high railing all the way around except for the metre gap in the centre in front of the door, old style brick chimney, black tiled roof, and as the lights from the car hit the old dead tree the shadow from the tree was splayed over the front of the house and I swear I could feel the trees cold hard branches slide up my back as Goosebumps raised the hair on my arm. I was frozen to the spot letting the still icy wind whistle in my ear and rap me in its welcoming embrace; I slipped to my knees and kneel down before this magnificent building. Ready to get up and walk towards the shadows I was suddenly jolted from my hypnotised state to see my mum had grabbed my arm. I looked up into her worried eyes;

"Are you okay?" she stares me in the eye waiting for my response

"I'm fine" I smile warily

And with that I walked away looking over my shoulder asking myself would I ever see the house again.
