To Wish Upon Abe Lincoln: By: LOSTrocker
A penny!
Riley picked it up for it was no normal penny. It was a penny on heads-up. A lucky penny. "Sweetness!" Riley said and grabbed it before anyone else could.
His declaration of sweetness caused Ben and Abigale to turn to him. "What?" Ben asked him.
"Look what I found!" Riley showed him his discovery.
Thinking that there was a possibility of him finding yet another clue, both Ben and Abigale were disappointed to find it was nothing more then a mere penny. At this, the couple yet again caused themselves to question Riley's intelligence.
"Wow, a penny." Ben said sarcastically. "Amazing."
"Shut up!" Riley said. "You're just jealous." he paused. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a wish to make." Riley turned from them so he could have some privacy in the wish making process.
If Riley were facing them he would see Ben shaking his head. "You know, don't you find it ironic that people wish upon a coin that holds a president who was assassinated. I don't think that qualifies as being lucky."
Riley turned back around. "I need all the luck I can get." He then reminded them of their past two adventures where death lurked around every corner.
"But it's stupid Riley," Ben pointed out, taking his penny.
"Hey!" Riley went to grab it but Ben was taller then he was. "I hate tall people."
"Correction, vertically challenged." Ben informed him.
"Either way, challenged." retorted Riley with a smirk.
"A little help here," Ben eyed Abigale.
She put her hands up in surrender. She stayed out of this one. Abigale was the smart one.
"You don't need this for luck," Ben then tossed the penny. "A man makes his own luck."
Riley rolled his eyes. "You've been watching Titanic again haven't you?"
"No," Ben answered, lying through his teeth.
Then Riley did it. He gave them, but mostly Ben his infamous puppy dog eyes that always did the trick. Ben hated it when he did that. Ben sighed. "Go get it."
Riley dove after it. When he found it he secured it in his pocket.
Abigale was dying to know what Riley wished for. If she had some clue then maybe she could help it come true. The guy hardly got a break. "So, Riley, what did you wish for?"
"Encouragement, not good." he whispered to her.
In which Ben got a glare from her in return.
"Are you serious?" Riley questioned. "You don't ask someone what they wished for after they made their wish! Then it won't come true!"
Abigale didn't mention it again. However, she had a good idea on what he wished for. After all, this was Riley here. He wasn't hard to figure out. He wanted a girlfriend. Good thing she had a lot of girl friends. It was all a matter of finding the right one.
Fin.
