Levi sat on Petra's bed and inhaled. The room smelled like her. He wished he didn't feel this way

You can be the hero and I can be your side kick

Petra never wanted to be the star, she was always happy with just working along side her team. She never wanted more. Looking back to her first expedition, Levi realised just how much Petra had grown in those 3 years. Levi looked around the room. His eyes fell on her dressing table. On it was a hairbrush and some clips.

Levi walked towards the table. There were three pictures tacked to the mirror. One of Petra and her family, another of his squad and the last one was of Levi, Hanji and Erwin. Levi pocketed the one of his squad. Out of instinct Levi opened the drawer below the table. In it was a brown book labeled 'DIARY'.

Cause you're the apple to my pie.

'Dear Diary, Today I baked a simple apple pie. I'm sure that everyone liked it as the second I took it out of the oven the whole squad appeared! The pie hadn't cooled down so I made everyone wait another 15 minutes. That is real patience. When I finally let them eat it, everyone took two slices. Even Heichou took 2 slices. I think I'll make it again when the next set of rations arrive.'

At that moment Levi swore that he could smell Petra's apple pie. Levi flipped to a random page.

You can be as cold as the winter weather
But I don't care as long as we're together

'Heichou is very talented. I wish I was as good as him. He may be cold on the outside but my insides feel warm when I stand near him and when I talk to him I feel all bubbly and my heart beats a little faster. What is this feeling?

Cause we're the perfect two

Levi turned to the last page of the diary.

'I think I've figured out what I feel for Levi-Heichou. I think its love! I'll talk to hime about this when we get back from the expedition outside the walls today. I've got a weird feeling about it though. For the first time in years I feel scared about an expedition. But I'm determined to comeback in one piece as I have things to do.'

I don't care as long as we're together.

Levi sat on Petra's bed in a daze. There was a knock at door, "Levi?" Hanji opened the door. "Are you ok Levi?" her voice filled with concern.

Levi swallowed"D-Did you know?"

Her eyes flickered to the book in his hands. She sighed, "Yes. I think we all did."

Levi dropped the diary. "Oh Levi," Hanji hugged Levi tightly. "We are all humans. We can't keep all our feelings bottled up inside"

Hanji felt a drop of water on her shirt.

A/N: Phew. Finally done. This is my first AOT fic but I'm happy with it. I know Levi is OOC but he just found out that Petra loved no loves him and her never knew.

Oh the song I used is 'The Perfect two' by Auburn.
