A/N This is my first fanfiction. Who would have thought, that my first fanfiction would be for school? Although it might be a little bit lacking in any action, the main focus was characterization, and so I focused on that. Its about Xerxes Break from Pandora Hearts. He is one of my favourite characters to imagine and think up scenarios for, because, well, he is interesting.

This is probably the most boring A/N ever. Yes it is. And to the story you go.

The Stupid Clown

There was a man, pacing back across the room in rapid thought. He was a white haired although he really wasn't any older than 40 except that is a fact that is difficult to tell in this time line. On his shoulder there was a strange doll which he always kept close on his shoulder, odd looking, akin to his clothes. This doll was named Emily that was used in perhaps his own form of Ventriloquism, though no one really knows the doll actually spoke on its own. That aside, he was far from a child or a "stupid clown" as others called him. He is a member of an organization built to police "contractors" of chains with its main goal unravel the mysteries of the dark abyss. But his own hidden agenda differs as he takes his own steps gain advantages and manipulates to complete his personal goals.

Though today, he was granted a break from work that comes along with joining the organization. But as people with short attention spans go, he was rather uninterested in the happening of this current household. Earlier, while playing three straight games of chess with his lady he indulged in four cups of tea concentrated with sugar and stirred in with a lollipop. He later sat out on the balcony with a look of total disinterest. Only minutes later, he preoccupied himself by pacing the room, although he was seriously deciding on doing something much more productive.

So he decided to attempt to stalk his two favorite subordinates and oversee what they are up to. Leaving the room, he skipped through the hallway with several books balanced perfectly on his head. The needed to be shelved and since he was already leaving the rooms he thought he better get at it.

On the way back from his little errand, he looked and was rather surprised to see a shadow of a bird and a rather huge one at that. The edges of the shadows seem to fold as it procures a piece of paper from the depths of its black oblivion. Or rather, it was just an invitation. On the front, a fancifully written message was located that read: DON'T READ STUPID CLOWN. Written directly under those words stated that the letter was intended for his lady Sharon.

He opened the letter with the knife he slipped out from within his sleeve. He read the description on how his subordinates, Oz and Gilbert has decided to slack off and visit the fair this one time and wishes to bring along Sharon along. Despite her looks, she was quite mature, but that seemed to go against her thirst for a little childish fun. Pity, he thought, that they didn't think to invite him. But really, they really should have devised a better instant messaging plan for the mail was just intercepted. But at least he now knows what he plans to do today, torture and tease and bother his two subordinates for all they are worth.

He crawled underneath table located in the center of the room, and disappeared from the household.

A/N If you actually liked it, tell me. I will be pleased if you let me know. And at least be glad to know that someone actually read it all the way through.
