Scene 1.
We open with a shot of the desert. We pan over dirt hills and roads. We pan slowly down to the bottom of the road as we see a car speeding. We cut to the inside of the car as we see that there is a man sitting there with blood covering his face and on the left side of him is a young girl fast asleep. We cut to his face as we see him look down at her than at a road. We cut to the side of him as we see that he reaches down with his left hand and holds up his dog tags. He looks at her then takes his dog tags off. We cut outside the car as we see the car slow down. We cut inside as we see him look down at his hands. We cut to his hands to find that they are covered in blood. We cut to his face as we see him squinting his eyes. We cut to the side of him as we see him pull the car to the side of the road. We cut to the girl as we see her wake up and look around. We cut to them and as we see him hand the dog tags over to the little girl. We cut to the little girl as we see her take them. We cut to the man as he puts his head on the steering wheel. We cut to the girl as we see hold the dog tags. We cut to the man as we see him look down at the road then slowly look up. We cut to the little girl as we see her put the dog tags around her neck. We cut back to the man as we see him pick up his head from the steering wheel and slowly put the car back into drive. We cut to the Little girl as we see her playing with the dog tags. We cut outside as we see the car drive further down the dirt road. We cut to the sky as we see the word Old Man Carter appear in white. We cut back inside the car as we see that the man is squinting. We cut to the little girl as we see her pull up a book with a weird cover. We cut to the man as we see him look up at the girl. Then at the road.
Carter Soul:
So you like those types of books?
Chole:
There okay...I mean it could be better.
Carter Soul:
Hmm...I knew what you mean...( he looks over at the book as he notices the cover. We cut the cover as we see there is a man dressed in all grayish black.) You know those books exaggerate a little too much about what happened.
Chole:
What?
Carter Soul:
The guy on the cover. ( We cut to Chloe as we see her close her book and looks at the cover.) I knew him.
Chole:
It's a comic book.
Carter Soul:
So?
Chole:
Comics aren't real. There just fake things that distract us from reality.
Carter Soul:
I gotta ask you something look around you do you think this was the world your parents wanted you to live in.
Chole:
I don't know. I mean I never knew my parents.
Leave comet and tell me what you think so far
