The Heart of Bravery
Linoan was elected mayor after the death of her father. She had no time to mourn his death. Her people needed a leader and she could not let the people of Tahra down. Her father died sheltering Leaf, the prince of Lenster. Her father believed in what Leaf's parents and their army were doing. So she must follow in his footsteps.
The empire's actions led her and her people to launch a rebellion. They were child hunting for sacrifices. Linoan would not stand for this so she decided to hire mercenaries to rise up against the evil deeds of the empire.
The King learned of her actions and of the rebellion and was not pleased about what he was hearing. He ordered his imperial forces to surround Tahra. Linoan hardly had any forces to protect her. The mercenaries had abandoned her. Now she only had her most trusted subjects with her. Linoan does the only thing she can think of. She makes a hard decision to send someone for help. It pains her but she sends her closest friend Safy.
"Safy, I want you to search for someone to help us. Wherever there is tyranny there is always opposition to it. My dad had many friends I'm sure someone will come to our aid."
"Linoan, I will not fail you. You can trust me I just hope you will be safe while I am gone."
"Be careful Safy, I can't lose you okay. Do you understand?"
"Yes Linoan, I will not fail you. When I do comeback with help we will defeat the empire and people will know you as the leader with a heart of bravery and a strong love of her people."
"Thank you Safy. I will see you again. I feel it in my heart."
Safy disappears into the night for the sake of Tahra and for the sake of her best friend Linoan. Linoan looks on as tears fill her eyes.
