Today was Lightning s first day of training at the military academy. She was going to be a soldier, just like her father. Lightning always disliked school, but after her parent's death her hatred grew stronger. She realized that life was too short to waste time in a place where she would learn nothing about real life. As soon as she was done with her exams she left. She was finally able to pursue her dream; to be strong and help people.
She woke up early to make Serah's breakfast and her lunch for school. She was so nervous about going to a new place she decided to quickly clean the whole house before leaving. She left wearing a simple white tank top and baggy pants. She didn't quite know what she was going to be doing when she got to the Cocoon Military Academy, all she knew was she had to meet a man called Yaag Rosch.
She arrived at the academy. It was a huge building. Much different to the simple plain buildings in Bodhum. She took some deep breaths and walked to the hall where all the other new people were. She looked around and saw a lot of people in uniforms standing around and talking. She was sure she would probably not be making any friends here. Soon a man came into the room with blue hair pulled back into a ponytail and screamed for everyone to stand in a line. This must be Yaag Rosch. He announced he would be our instructor and gave everyone a tour of the massive building. Lightning was happy her adult life was finally starting but she knew her training would be difficult, especially when her instructor was a strict sounding man like Yaag Rosch.
It was 5:30pm when Lightning finally got back to her house. Serah had already come home from school and went back out again. She always knew when Serah was here because she always seemed to leave a mess in the kitchen. Lightning cleared up the mess and went into her room to take a nap.
She awoke to knocking on her door. She ran downstairs to answer the door and saw a delivery guy holding a big box.
She gave the man a confused look. "I didn't order anything.."
"This is a gift from Yaag Rosch," the man replied and handed her the box.
She closed the door and set the box on her table. She opened the lid to find that it was a Guardian Corps uniform, her uniform. Lightning gave a slight smile. Her days of being a soldier have begun.
