The setting was perfect. The backyard was decorated with soft lighting, which included but not limited to; floating lanterns in the pool and the lights in the house turned off. The full moon shone brightly, with little clouds in the sky.
"I don't bite Bridge." Kentin told her, offering his hand. "I found Magnet just for you."
Bridget looked at his hand, then at him unsure.
"This is a trick." she told him, shaking her head. "What if you end up doing something ridiculous, like what you did with Amber?"
Kentin laughed at her lightly.
"I know you're better than her, and that you'll learn from your mistakes." he said, giving her a smile that made Bridget even more unsure.
"Just trust me." Kentin offered once more. Bridget closed her eyes.
"Okay." she agreed. Kentin smiled once more and cued the music to play. Slowly, the two began to dance as if they were on spotlight in a classic King and Queen's ball dance. Bridget thought back to how she was here to begin with; A few days back, Kentin had offered to be painted by Bridget for an art study. While being painted, Kentin had reminded her that before he was shipped to military school, that she had promised him a dance. Eventually, a date and time was set for the two to dance privately... in Kentin's backyard. Now here they were, Bridget and Ken dancing as she had promised him to nearly a year ago. It was hard to relax at first, thinking Kentin would do something horrific like reveal to her that he was getting revenge toward her like he did for Amber, or he may try to kiss her when she wasn't even sure she liked him like that or not. But Bridget found that she was beginning to relax as Magnet's voice filled whatever speakers were hidden somewhere, as it always has done.

When I passed you in the doorway, you took me with a glance.
I should have took that last bus home, but I asked you for a dance.
Now we go steady to the pictures,
I always get chocolate stains on my pants.
My father's going crazy, says I leaving in a trance.
But I'm dancing in the moonlight,
It's caught me in its spotlight.
It's all right, I'm dancing in the moonlight
On this long hot summer night
. . .
Well it's 3 o clock in the morning,
And I'm on the streets again.
Disobeyed another warning.
I should have been in by ten.
Now, I won't get out till Sunday.
I'll have to say I stayed with friends.
But it's a habit worth forming,
If it means to justify the ends.
. . .
But I'm dancing in the moonlight,
It's caught me in its spotlight.
It's all right, I'm dancing in the moonlight,
On this long hot summer night...
