Sora walked down the hall. He blinked, trying to get his eyes adjusted to the darkness.
"Ow," he whispered as he stubbed his toe on something.
He felt around. His hands landed on something hard. It was a doorknob.
Oh great. I bet I just woke Kairi up. This must be her door. While he was pondering, the door creaked open.
"Sora you lazy bum!" came the voice of Kairi, "Why are you sneaking around in the dead of night?"
"I woke up and I was hungry!" he said innocently.
"Mind if I join you?" Kairi asked.
"Sure you can!" Sora exclaimed, "Here I'll lead you."
Sora grabbed her hand and started to lead her downstairs.
"So Kairi, when are you parents coming back from Traverse Town?"
"Next week. Why? Don't you like me staying at your house while they're out?"
"Yeah, I was just wondering," Sora said blushing.
They reached the stairs and hurried down them. When they got to the kitchen, Kairi let go of his hand and turned on the lights.
Sora took in her appearance. She was wearing a pink tank top that slightly showed her stomach. The pants she was wearing matched her tank top. The two colors matched perfectly with her auburn hair.
"Sora? Trying to get a peek are you?" Kairi joked.
Sora blushed once more.
"No, I was just looking at your pajamas and noticing how mine are much better!" Sora joked back
He stuck his tongue at Kari who returned the gesture.
He then looked at his pajamas. He was wearing a loose fit, white tee shirt and a pair of blue plaid pajama pants.
"Oh yeah, so much better then mine," Kairi said rolling her eyes.
Sora smile at her then turned around to get two glasses down. He placed the glasses down on the island where Kairi was now sitting. He walked over to the fridge and grabbed the milk. Before returning to Kairi, he got a pack of Oreo's out of the cabinet. He poured each of them half a glass of milk. They each had three cookies a piece.
They shared a comfortable silence. They were just appreciating each other's presence. Sora picked his glass up and drained the milk. After placing his glass down, Kairi started giggling.
"What's so funny?" Sora asked.
"Your mustache!" she replied.
Sora reached up to wipe it off but Kairi grabbed his hand.
"I'll get it!"
Kairi leaned in, but instead of wiping the milk off, she placed a kiss on Sora's lips. When she pulled away, Sora just sat there in shock. He couldn't believe his crush just kissed him!
Kairi giggled some more. She helped Sora clean up. After they were done they just stared at each other. Sora smiled then chased Kairi up the stairs. They stopped at the room Kairi was sleeping in.
"Same time tomorrow night?" she asked.
"Yeah," Sora smiled.
Kairi leaned in and gave Sora a peck on the cheek.
"Night Sora," she giggled.
Sora waited till her door was shut before he jogged to his room. He flopped down on his bed smiling.
"Milk and cookies are my new favorite snack," he whispered.
He rolled over smiling to himself. He couldn't wait for tomorrow night.
